Itinerary
Join us for a 1.5 hour fully narrated sightseeing cruises of Fort Lauderdale’s yachts and homes of the rich and famous traveling on the New River, the Intracoastal Waterway, and Port Everglades.
Our tour begins at our Downtown Fort Lauderdale dock which just happens to be a stone's throw away from the Stranahan House
We continue our tour over the Henry E. Kinney Tunnel and outbound on the narrow, winding New River. From the upper deck of the Carrie B, you will have an excellent view of the Riverside Hotel. Opened in 1936, this hotel is the pinnacle of old world charm and elegance in Fort Lauderdale.
We continue past homes which sold in the early 1920's for only $4,000 to $8,000 dollars. Today these homes in Rio Vista and Colee Hammock sell for multi-million dollar prices. We continue past Colee Hammock Park and head out to the widest section of the New River.

Wonderful way to experience Ft. Lauderdale. Great 90 minute tour. Riverboat was very comfortable with great views. Tour guide was interesting and entertaining. It was a family outing with my husband, adult son, 82 year old Mom and 79 year old Aunt. We all enjoyed ourselves, great family outing.
We got there early enough to be first in line. That allowed us to pick seats up top under the canopy. It was perfect and not hot. We had a great breeze up there too. There are drinks, both alcohol and non. They also have hot dogs, pretzels and popcorn. Possibly other snacks, but those are the ones I remembered. The guide tells about the houses along the way and has some good stories that go with it. We learned a lot of history and background about the waterways. We passed by a cruise ship when we were taken into Port Everglades. We chose to go between checking out of our hotel and going to the airport. It was a perfect way to spend the time. I would highly suggest staying quiet while the guide is speaking. If you have kids with you that may be talkative it is best to keep them at the back or down in the a/c. If you want to talk, go downstairs where you may not bother others as much. We had some families that kept talking very loud as the guide was speaking, even though he asked at the beginning for people to not talk. When the kids talked, the parents talked just as loud instead of quietly asking them to whisper or taking them downstairs. We paid a lot of money to hear the guide, not to just take a ride on a boat. I know the guide was being nice, but I don’t think it would be bad to repeat the request before and after each break. Sometimes people don’t hear it the first time. The tour is so interesting and we wanted to hear everything :)
Second time on this tour. Very nice ride with views of lovely homes and some stories of some famous people that do or have owned them. Worth the money and decent drinks and snacks on the boat.
Fantastic Experience for family
Great excursion - well worth the cost.
Excellent boat ride! Very informative on all of the gorgeous houses that you’ll get to see. Definitely will recommend to everyone!
Hi Cynthia! Thank you very much! We enjoyed having you cruise with us! Thanks for the recommendations! Take care and come see us again!!
When our fought was delayed, we were able to catch this boat tour followed by a wonderful meal at Phat Boys nearby, before heading back to FLL to fly home. Family members that were hot enjoyed the A/c and tour from below, while our more adventurous enjoyed the windy bow. The tour was funny and informative, though a bit heavy on wealthy citizen homes. We particularly appreciated the info on the rivers, intercoastal waterway, and Port Everglades, and would have liked a bit more history of Fort Lauderdale. Nonetheless, we came away with a solid local experience of a city we've never visited before. We would recommend this tour for all ages.
Elizabeth, Thank you so much for cruising with us! So glad you and the family had a great time!! Hope all is well... take care and come on back to see us again!!
This tour was very relaxing and enjoyable. The beautiful homes and the narration was excellent. Definitely would recommend.
Thank you so much for your kind remembrances of your cruise! We are so glad you came with us!! Thank you so much! Take care and please come back to see us!!
Nice to visit, the millionaires' mansions and yachts are beautiful, but unfortunately there is no Maisie villa on the route, otherwise it would have been even better, with air conditioning and a liquor bar on the lower level of the cruise. This is a great option if you only have half a day to explore. Viator is a few dollars cheaper than the official website and can be recommended
Bin! Thank you so much for cruising with us! So Glad you and your family had fun!! If you're in Fort Lauderdale in December make sure to come see us on board Fort Lauderdale's Christmas Ship! It's magical and fun for the whole family! thanks again take care!
What an unexpected and wonderful surprise! We ended our cruise at Miami in the morning and needed to kill some time before our flight. This was the best way possible to spend an afternoon. The boat is large and comfortable with air conditioning downstairs and a covered area and uncovered area upstairs. Sit upstairs for the best views. The boat includes a bathroom and even a bar selling drinks, snacks, including popcorn and hot dogs! The tour guide was absolutely hilarious and had us all very attentively engaged. We loved learning all about who owns the insanely expensive houses in the Venice of the United States.
We are certainly glad you spent the afternoon with us! Also so happy that you enjoyed the trip! Thank you for your very nice thoughts of your cruise! If you happen to be around in December in Fort Lauderdale please come see us on Fort Lauderdale's Christmas Ship! 7:00 PM nightly in December... You're gonna love it... Hope to see you! Thanks again!
