Challenging but very rewarding. Steep first half of the hike, through dense vegetation. Recommend pants and long sleeve shirt. Overall, you will be walking about 12km. Don’t forget the very friendly village doggos that accompany you. A fantastic way to experience the hills and villages in Chiang Rai. Our guide Sun taught us a lot about local produce and plants. He was fantastic.
Very nice trick where we learned to cook with bamboo and also to make bamboo rings. The treck is beautiful and very welcome in the villages with the guide
Tower with waterfalls, elephants and doi suthep bof
This tour was a real highlight of our trip. The walk is quite challenging, especially at the very start when it's all uphill and on rough terrain, but the guides are very good at ensuring everyone is comfortable and the group stays together. The scenery was incredible and the bamboo cooking was just an amazing experience. I would 100% recommend this as a fantastic day out.
This was a brilliant trek and I would recommend to someone seeking a challenge. This was not an easy hike, especially in hot weather, but was definitely worth the effort to see the beautiful sights.
Contentful and very pleasant day. Nice trim. Good lunch.
Best trekking experience we have done . A great adventure , food was very tasty and very authentic. James , Watt and Sam were very hospitable and fun. The only thing I would say to be aware of if you are nervous of dogs that there are a lot on the trek. However, they were not interested in the you just the other dogs .
This was a great day of hiking, sometimes quite challenging as we partly climbed up a mountain stream bed in the jungle. We learnt so much about the rural environment and the lives of the inhabitants of the villages we passed through. Sami and Wat were mines of information, demonstrating rural skills with bamboo, one of which was the preparation of a delicious lunch. Both guides were great fun, intent on ensuring that we all had a great and safe time while experiencing the wild. Thoroughly recommend this day out, but be sure to dress warmly for the first 30 minutes when you will be riding in the back of a pick-up, fully exposed to the early morning cold!
It was one of the most memorable experience of my trip to Thailand. The tour guides were very friendly and funny. Also Manoi was the sweetest dog. Would go back again for sure😄
Fantastic day, enjoyed it immensely. Straight up hard trek to start with rewards you with fabulous views, some great villages and best of all a Michelin star bamboo lunch. The guides are fun and informative all the way.
