1-Day Kunming Scenery Tour
Description
Our tour takes place in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province and a historical and cultural city. Local people also call it “Spring City” because its climate is like spring all year round. The Golden Temple, also called Taihe Palace is a famous Taoist complex, with the largest completely pure-copper temple in China, surrounded by a big park of green pines and verdant cypresses. The Black dragon pool is also a Taoist temple where legend says a dragon used to live inside the pool. There is also a big forest with ancient trees surrounding it and a lot of plum blossoms during spring, which makes a perfect place for a stroll.

This trip focused on Taoist gardens and temples in Kunming, including the Golden Temple and Black Dragon Pool. Both places were peaceful and beautiful, perfect for relaxing. I especially liked our guide—she’s a local and knows Kunming very well. She explained everything through interesting stories and even showed us the best photo spots. Also, a big thank you to the travel advisor who arranged everything so well and even helped me handle an emergency—my passport was almost lost!
The staff was professional and helped us plan a great itinerary. I mentioned to Katherine that I wanted to go birdwatching, so she arranged a visit to Green Lake for us. Overall, we had a good experience, and both my partner and I were satisfied with the tour.
