Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Kigali. Enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda’s beautiful countryside on your way to Akagera National Park, home to the Big Five and diverse wildlife.
On the way to Akagera, we make a short stop over to Imigongo Art center for the stretching, use the bathroom, grab a drink or take something to eat if you have skipped the breakfast. Feel free to visit the art craft and enjoy the work of African arts and take home souvenirs to you and your loved ones.
Upon arrival at Akagera National Park, complete entry formalities and embark on a guided game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes. Akagera is often regarded as the best one-day safari in Africa, as it is the only park where you can traverse from south to north in a single day, with excellent chances of spotting the Big Five. Set in the Land of a Thousand Hills, the park features open savannah, rolling hills, and over ten lakes, including Lake Ihema, Rwanda’s second-largest rift valley lake. The safari was very well organized from start to finish. Pick-up was right on time, and our guide and driver, Paul, was incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating throughout the trip. The organization was excellent, and we were able to see all the animals we had hoped for. We also had the opportunity to cross the entire park from south to north, which made for a fantastic and comprehensive safari experience. Highly recommended!
Great tour my tour guide Paul was great seen lots of animals on safari I highly recommend this tour but make sure you bring reusable bottle plastic water bottles not allowed
Fun activity better in group or with someone you. love. Early morning or late night is better if you want to see the cats.

It was an amazing experience! The driver was on time, took us to get coffee, and drove well on rugged roads. We got to see so many animals! And lunch was included! I recommend this Safari to anyone. So convenient they can pick you up and drop you off at your hotel.
He was very friendly. My friend needed to go to a pharmacy and he stopped there to get what she needed. He made it a game to see who saw the first animal. He had on his phone a lions roar to get movement from the lion. He was knowledgeable on the animal and where to find them. He was willing to answer any questions.
