Der CAT verkehrt 365 Tage im Jahr von früh morgens bis spät abends alle 30 Minuten zwischen dem Flughafen Wien und dem Bahnhof Wien-Mitte. We didn’t realize public transit would have been nearly as fast and about 1/3 the cost. That said we bought a return ticket and used a discount so it wasn’t too bad. The service was excellent and train was clean.
The CAT service provides a quick, safe journey to and from the airport. Easy transfer to the ubahn. Friendly staff. The local trains are much cheaper so catch them if you can.
Hardly any added value, only a few minutes savings compared to the S-Bahn and but disrupts the rest of the traffic for ordinary citizens.
Non-stop connection between the airport and Wiener Mitte station. The OBB tracks are used, but because the swimming companies are different, it is expensive at an extra cost. The decision is whether to choose nonstop convenience or price.
Absolute joke. Ticket is three times as expensive as regular traintickets. Don’t fall for the aggressive advertisement.
