Wir gehen auf den Marktplatz zu, auf dem Sie die ersten beiden markanten Wahrzeichen sehen, das Falkenhaus, ein Gasthaus, das im 18. Jahrhundert erbaut wurde mit einer schönen Rokoko-Fassade. Unmittelbar nördlich des Marktplatzes befindet sich die Marienkapelle mit ihrer gut erhaltenen gotischen Architektur und den wunderschönen Statuen des berühmten deutschen Bildhauers Tilman Riemenschneider. Von dort ist es nur ein kurzer Spaziergang zum Rathaus und dem großen Barockbrunnen, dem Vierröhrenbrunnen. Von hier aus überqueren wir die alte Brücke über den Hauptfluss, die auch eine gute Gelegenheit zum Fotografieren bietet. (Optional auf dieser Tour ist die Festung Marienberg über den Fluss, die mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln oder zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Wenn Sie lieber zu Fuß gehen möchten, benötigen Sie zu Fuß etwa 20 Minuten zur Festung. Von dort haben Sie einen spektakulären Blick auf den Main Flusstal und die Stadt: Auf dem Weg nach unten, über die Brücke, machen wir uns auf den Weg zur Residenz, einem prächtigen barocken Stadtpalast, unter der Residenz befindet sich der Staatliche Hofkeller, der alte königliche Hofweinkeller die besten Weine der Region, ein Handel, für den diese Stadt berühmt ist!

Elizabeth was excellent. Very knowledgeable, good communication, answered all questions, highly recommend.
Since we unfortunately had 2 hours train delay we could not use the full 2 hours of the tour. Nevertheless, Ms Nickel took a little longer to show us some of Würzburg. Her stories were very refreshing and entertaining. Furthermore, she and a few more tips on what else we can do. On the whole, we really liked the tour. Thank you for this

It was more like share a drink. No AH moment even from a distance along river banks. There was a spot I saw clamped of locked keys.

Stefanie was fantastic. We have traveled to a lot of countries with various guides and she was by far the best. She enjoys people and has guided for over 20 years. It showed. She provided in detail background history of the famous sights. We had great conversation throughout the tour. She knew what would be open, such as cathedrals etc. She packed a lot in; 3 hours worth of content in 2 hours. She made the best use of our time. It was truly an enjoyable experience. Our guide, Stefanie A, was the BEST walking tour guide I've EVER had. She is classy, well-spoken and eloquent and a beautiful story teller! I could listen to hear speak all day. I was traveling with a group of 12 students from a community college in Texas and met my German exchange student in Würzburg with his family who speak limited English, but because of her slow, clear and beautiful communication, they were able to understand most of the tour in English! She is so regal and such a joy and I feel so blessed we got to have her twice (part one on our arrival day in Würzburg, and then again on Sunday, December 15th. Thank you for such a wonderful tour, Stefanie, and for helping me pick the perfect wine in the Residenz Gift Shop! I shared it with friends when I got home to Texas and it was delicious!
