Wundervolles 2-Tage-1-Nacht-Dschungeltrekking in Bukit Lawang, kostenloses Rafting

Excellent tour and an absolute recommendation. We saw countless orangutans and various other species of monkeys. Great guides, exciting route, beautiful scenery, plenty of adventure, delicious home-cooked food, and rafting to top it off. An absolute highlight of my trip to Indonesia!

I booked the tour completely hassle-free via WhatsApp directly with the organizer. The communication was already super uncomplicated, and upon my arrival, I was picked up by Dedi (a staff member) on a motorcycle from the stop and taken to our hotel. Upon my arrival, I was warmly welcomed by Mine, who explained everything for the tour the next day in great detail. On the day of the tour, I was out with the guide Dedi alone. Already after 45 minutes in the jungle, we saw orangutans here! Dedi explained everything about all the animals we saw (various species of monkeys or other species) throughout the entire tour and was always able to answer all my questions. He prepared delicious fruits and Nasi Goreng twice, which was great. We took regular breaks, adjusted to my pace, and the tubing/rafting at the end was an absolute highlight. Back at the hotel, I was immediately welcomed again by Mine, who asked how it was and if I saw any areas for improvement. I can wholeheartedly recommend the organizer and the tour! They also organized my further transport to Lake Toba!

Wonderful experience journeying through the jungle seeing orangutans, macaques, birds and other nature. The track requires a decent level of fitness but the guides are very accommodating and will give sufficient breaks and food stops. Our guides were very helpful and always looked after us. They were also very friendly and funny and played games with us in the camp in the evening. The camp is simple but we all had a decent nights sleep. Food was good throughout. Special thanks to Mrs Geoh and Suria for organising our taxis from Medan to Bukit Lawang and from Bukit Lawang to Berastagi.

An inspiring experience. Get up close and personal with wild orangutans, lots of fruit and impressive tubing. It was a wonderful time surrounded by cheerful and very kind guides who spoke English every day.

I had the best time in the great nature of Sumatra. Even before we arrived in Bukit Rawan village, we had a polite meeting and they asked us about their time and what we wanted to do. Two guides will guide you through the jungle and teach you everything in English. They were kind and humorous, and time passed so quickly together. Thank you, Nannan and Eker. We left at 10am and climbed and fell along pretty solid mountain roads, and arrived at the campsite around 16:00. There are many breaks along the way, so you don't have to be physically strong. I spend my evenings playing cards and games with my guide. It was ***** exciting. The experience of sleeping in a wooden hut with a mosquito net is also unique to the jungle. There was not a single feeling of dissatisfaction. I recommend it.

I can recommend this tour company a 1000%. From the planning to the tour itself, they helped us with wverything, getting drivers, arranging our trip, they really gave us a good service of arranging things in Sumatra, where it might be harder to do for a tourist. The tour was so amazing… we saw many different monkeys, apes, orang otangs, other animals, it was truly an amazing experience. The tour guides are so helpful, well mannered, friendly and funny, we had an amazing time with them. They also clearly know how to respect and behave around orang otangs, which gave us a very good, and safe feeling of trekking with them. The difficulty of the trip is i would say 6-7/10. It was challenging at times, but very doable. We were also provided with fruit and later on a full lunch with rice and chicken in the jungle. They are very considerate, and take into account any details, like food allergies/preferences. Only for this trip and the amazing Bukit Lawang village, would make me come back to Sumatra again.

Gao was phenomenal at getting my trip booked and easily included transportation from and to Medan, as well as hotel nights. She responded almost immediately each time. Do you ever sleep?! The trek itself was a grunt for me- mostly because I’m not used to heat and humidity. It was worth every step to see the orangutans, monkeys, hornbills, and lizards. The food was wonderful and plentiful. The guide, Dadi, was so patient and made sure I was comfortable and could see the wildlife. The camp was a delight - I especially enjoyed showering under a waterfall. The trip back to Bukit Lawang was on tubes on the river - the jungle taxi! I highly recommend this for anyone wanting some jungle adventure in Sumatra!

It was an incredible trip that I did together with my boyfriend and that I would recommend everyone to do. The company “Wonderful Orangutan Sumatra” had arranged everything so nicely, from pick-up in Medan to the whole hike in the jungle. We got to see everything from Thomas Leaf Monkey (aka David Beckham) to Orangutans and Hornbills, and not least the amazingly beautiful nature. The rafting at the end of the hike was slightly out of the ordinary, incredibly fun and very beautiful views. The food and company was incredible. I want to say an extra big thank you to our guides Bim, Eka and Arip who made the trip unforgettable and I will not forget our dinner together at the camp.

I was recommended this company by a friend of mine, I took his word for it and honestly it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. And I really mean that. Everything from the animals, to the guides, the nature - I have nothing to complain about. Simply 10/10 Our guides Bim, Eka, and Arip were all amazing, easy to be around, to both be able to laugh and feel safe with the guides made all the difference! For anyone who’s interested in nature, animals (of course the orangutans), I would 100% go. Worth every penny.
