Normalerweise betreten wir das Douro-Tal durch die charmante Stadt Sabrosa, einem Ort reich an Geschichte und Charakter. Es markiert den Beginn dessen, was oft als der atemberaubendste Abschnitt des gesamten Tals angesehen wird – wo die Landschaft beginnt, wirklich zu verzaubern.
Unser erster Halt ist in einem prestigeträchtigen Familienweingut, wo Sie von einem echten Wein Experten herzlich empfangen werden. Eine reizvolle einstündige Bootsfahrt durch das atemberaubende Douro-Tal, entlang der Ufer in der Nähe der legendären N222 Straße. An Bord werden die Gäste mit regionalen Snacks und einem erfrischenden Getränk verwöhnt, was das Erlebnis sowohl landschaftlich als auch entspannend macht.

What a great day trip!! You get exactly what this experience offers. We had a lot of fun traveling to the Douro Valley to visit wineries, taste wine, and eat delicious food. João was a fantastic guide who answered all of our questions and shared so many fun facts. It was well worth the money, and the lunch was our favorite part!
Dress for warm weather. Lots of wine and food and good conversation. Full of information of the region amd very relaxing.
This was the highlight of our trip to Portugal. First off, our guide Bruno was amazing. He thought of every detail to make the day flawless. The wineries we stopped at were run by local families and the staff were so hospitable and kind. Plus, since they were small wineries, we got the place to ourselves and really got to learn about the vineyards. We enjoyed an incredible lunch at the second winery and it felt like we were guests at the host’s home. The food and wine pairings at both stops were fantastic and we felt like we tried a really nice range of wines. And the boat ride was so relaxing and fun. This day was an incredible experience and a MUST DO if you are headed to the Duoro Valley!!
This tour to Douro Valley is everything my husband and I had hoped for: education about the Douro Valley: information about wine growth and of course… the wines. A great day with Louis. Thank you for wonderful wine and food!
This experience was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide Joao was personable and very knowledgable about the Duoro Valley region. The 2 wineries we stopped at for tastings had a nice variety of very good wines. The boat ride was amazing and lunch at the second winery was authentic Portuguese with wine pairings for each course. Highly recommend and well worth the cost.
We had an amazing experience. Our guide, João (I hope I am spelling correctly!) was simply amazing - kind, funny, full of knowledge and fun facts! He made the experience so enjoyable and he was very accommodating. All of the wineries we went to were beautiful and had delicious wines. We especially enjoyed the lunch spot (João joined us for lunch which was a highlight!) and the boat tour of the river! Would recommend as a MUST DO when you come to Porto. Our parents did this exact tour 3 years ago and loved it so much they told us we had to do it, and it lived up to the hype!
This was an amazing experience and all the details were executed in organized way making for an effortless, enjoyable day. Our guide was professional, organized and enthusiastic and each part of the trip unforgettable.

Highly recommend this small group tour! Made even more enjoyable by our wonderful guide Luis (a born entertainer!) and the other 2 lovely couples we shared the experience with. Yes, it’s a long drive to and from the Douro Valley as some reviews say, but the views and the whole experience are totally worth it. So glad we booked it. Delicious wines, beautiful locally-sourced 4-course lunch and topped off with a peaceful boat ride. Don’t miss the chance to see this beautiful area and make sure you ask for Luis!
This was the best experience. We never do organized tours and took a leap of faith with this and it was wonderful. Luis was the best tour guide. We HIGHLY recommend but request Luis!
