Von der Innenstadt von Portland aus machen wir uns entlang der Vineyard and Valley Scenic Route, vorbei an Obstgärten und Farmen, ins berühmte Willamette Valley. Als Oregons führende Weinregion beherbergt das Tal mehr als 500 Weingüter. Der Wein aus dieser Region gilt als eines der führenden Anbaugebiete des Spätburgunders der Welt und wird oft mit Frankreichs Burgund verglichen. Während der Fahrt wird Ihr Guide die Geschichte der Weinproduktion Oregons erzählen, wie unser Tal entstand und was seinen Boden so idyllisch für unsere weltberühmten Weintrauben macht. Im Herzen des Willamettetals besuchen wir drei sorgfältig ausgewählte Weingüter, Weinberge und Verkostungsräume, wo wir an Weinbaugesprächen und Weinproben teilnehmen werden. Die meisten Weingüter bieten bequeme Versandoptionen direkt zu Ihnen nach Hause, und alle haben Angebote, Ihre Lieblingsweine zu kaufen, anstatt Verkostungsgebühren zu zahlen. Verkostungsgebühren sind nicht im Tourpreis enthalten.

This was such a great trip! Andy was an awesome guide. We went to three amazing wineries where they were super attentive to our group. It was the perfect amount of time at each location to taste the wine, relax and enjoy the surroundings.

I wish they would publicize the wineries they plan to attend so we can check them out before booking. Two out of the three wineries were very nice, but one had no atmosphere at all. There are hundreds of wineries they could have chosen for the tour, and I felt like they went to a friend's winery to help them out and not a place that represents the best of Oregon's wine country. The $148 fee was also very high, considering we had to pay for all food, tastings, and tipping the driver. With a tour with 6 people, that was a very hefty profit for the company.

We’re not able to definitively advertise where we will be visiting on tour, as we often have a rotation of wineries that we will be visiting throughout the season/year, so the line up often does and can change. We are always available in the office for anybody that wishes to reach out to ask what wineries we will be visiting. This information is typically locked in by two weeks in advance of a particular tour. The wineries that we choose to visit are highly rated wineries in the Willamette Valley that historically and consistently receive stellar feedback from our guests. We’re sorry that these tried-and-true favorites weren’t to your particular taste. We hope that we have another chance in the future to explore with you and showcase more of the wonderful Willamette Valley region. We’ve worked hard to adjust the cost of this tour based on our expected tour standards, maintaining a small operating margin, and from customer feedback over the years. We do make sure to clearly advertise that the costs of the wine tasting fees are not included in the tour, which we’ve found can save our customers money in many cases, but also does not cause them to pay any more money than if the fees were included with the ticket. Our guests now have the chance to skip a tasting flight at one of the wineries if they wish, or to opt for something lighter or less expensive, like enjoying a single glass of a favorite varietal. We have lived in this area for 20+ years and decided it was time to learn more about the Willamette Valley wines. We could not have asked for a better experience. Eric was knowledgeable, professional and took us to 3 wonderful places. I highly recommend this tour.
We thought that the vineyards were selected with care and thought and each was very different. From a beautiful outdoor setting to stunning hill views to backyard-like tasting surrounded by grapevines, each place brought a unique experience and perspective on winemaking in Oregon.
Eric was a great tour guide and our small group was fantastic. We enjoyed 3 great wineries, each with their own unique charm and character. At two of the wineries we even met the actual owners and could talk to them about their wines and winery. We throughly enjoyed our time in Oregon’s beautiful wine county.
Very well organised tour. Three well chosen wineries. Excellent knowledgeable guide, Patrick. Gorgeous countryside. Tastings are expensive (however waived if you buy). Picnic lunch (purchased en route) enjoyed in idyllic setting at middle winery, while tasting.
