Edgar, the guide did a good job navigating all 4 stops. Lagoon stop was Wonderful. it’s very buggy. Lots of mosquitoes. I didn’t have any bug spray, but was wearing long clothes. The other stops were OK. As it was pouring rain, we couldn’t really do much walking. The restaurant was decent. Nice to be able to visit these four beaches
Thank you for sharing your experience, Mary! We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the lagoon stop and the opportunity to visit four beautiful beaches along the Oaxaca coast. Rainy weather can sometimes limit certain activities, but we’re glad Edgar helped make the tour smooth and enjoyable throughout the day. We also appreciate the tip about bringing bug spray for the lagoon area. Thank you again for joining us! The Paraiso Huatulco Team
This trip was not what we expected. We are experienced travelers. Delayed start by 1/2 hour as a couple staying in our hotel received wrong start time. Guide was pleasant, but said he spoke some English. Therefore, as all the local guides gave information in Spanish, we learned not very much. There was no information about what we were seeing on our 2 hour ride to the Lagoon. Two hours at the Lagoon was too long as boat ride short and watching the deer too long. Again, since all in Spanish, we were just observers. Looking forward to Manzunte, but it was only a smelling of organic cosmetics and opportunity to purchase. We did not understand anything as in Spanish. Zipollite was okay. Pretty stretch of beach. Short stop. Long, late lunch in Puerto Angel. No time to explore or any information about the stop. 6 pm Mezcal, Coffee, Chocolate sampling across street from restaurant in Puerto Angel. Arrival back in Santa Cruz at 8:30 pm We did enjoy the people in group.
Dear Conrad, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re truly sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations. The delayed start occurred because one couple received the pickup information but unfortunately did not review their phone messages carefully. We send the exact same confirmation details to all participants in advance, but occasionally this can create timing misunderstandings that affect the group’s departure. We are reviewing our follow-up procedures to help minimize this risk. Regarding the language barrier, the Wildlife Eco Tour is primarily operated in Spanish, as local guides at the lagoon and community stops conduct their explanations in Spanish. However, we recognize that this limited your experience, and we will reinforce with our team the importance of providing clearer English support whenever possible. Your comments about timing at the lagoon, Mazunte, Zipolite, Puerto Ángel, and the overall pacing are very valuable. This tour includes several community-based visits, but we understand that without proper explanation in your language, it can feel more observational than engaging. We do appreciate your kind words about the group and our guide’s attitude. Feedback like yours helps us improve the clarity of our tour descriptions and communication. Thank you again for your honesty. The Paraiso Huatulco Team.
Have good bug spray and your own water to take with you. Was a very interesting tour, enjoyed the stops along the way.
Thank you, Hilda! We’re glad you enjoyed touring with Luis and found the Wildlife Eco Tour interesting. Great tip about bringing bug spray and water 👍 We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again on another adventure along the coast of Oaxaca. The Paraiso Huatulco Team.
Mixed feelings about this tour. Enjoyed each activity but spent far too much time at most. It was more than a ten hour day. The boat tour of the eco reserve was very interesting but although the tour promised an English guide our guide only spoke Spanish; there wasn’t room for our well- meaning tour guide on the boat. The tour advertises brunch and refreshments provided but there was none except water bottles. Instead we were ushered to a restaurant at our own expense at 3:30- way past lunch time. I would not do this trip again.
Dear Stephe..., Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re truly sorry for the disappointment you experienced, especially regarding the language during the boat tour. While the tour is advertised with an English-speaking guide, in shared tours there can be logistical limitations, such as space on the boat, and we regret that this affected your experience. Regarding the duration of the tour, shared excursions sometimes take longer than expected, as we aim to accommodate all participants, which can extend travel and activity times. We understand how this can feel tiring on a full-day tour. Concerning meals, we would like to clarify that brunch is not included, as clearly stated in the tour description; only bottled water is provided. We regret if this was not clear at the time of booking. The lunch stop is scheduled later in the afternoon, which is common in tropical countries and can differ from meal schedules in northern countries. Your comments are valuable to us, and we appreciate you bringing these points to our attention as we continue to improve our services. The Paraiso Huatulco Team.
Beautiful nature experience. Transportation was smooth and time just flew by. Unfortunate, just not too much time in Mazunte
Dear Nadiya, Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the beautiful nature and that the transportation was smooth and comfortable. We understand that time in Mazunte can feel short — it’s truly a special place, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue improving our tours. We hope to welcome you again for another adventure along the coast of Oaxaca! The Paraiso Huatulco Team.
I had an absolutely amazing experience on this ecotour along the coast of Oaxaca! As a nature and animal lover, it was pure heaven—I got to see so many incredible species, from crocodiles to turtles, and so much beautiful wildlife. Our guide, Edgar, was fantastic: super friendly, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. He made the tour both fun and informative, and his passion for nature really shone through. I can’t recommend this tour enough for anyone who loves wildlife and wants a memorable adventure in Oaxaca!

Edgar will be especially happy to know that his passion, knowledge, and good humor made your experience both fun and memorable. We had a wonderful experience on the Wildlife Eco Tour in Huatulco! Our guide, Jose, was fantastic — very kind, knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English, which was especially appreciated by those in our group who don’t speak Spanish. The tour stops were well-paced and scenic. We visited Puerto Ángel, Zipolite Beach, and ended at La Ventanilla for the wildlife portion of the tour. At La Ventanilla, we took a guided boat ride that lasted about 30 minutes and saw many crocodiles (both large and small), along with a few turtles and iguanas. It was exciting, educational, and felt very respectful of the wildlife. Afterward, we stopped at a local restaurant for lunch, which had several nice menu options to choose from and was a great way to end the day. Overall, this was a well-organized, informative, and enjoyable tour — a great way to see a different side of the Huatulco area. Highly recommend, especially if you enjoy nature and wildlife!
Thank you very much, Patricia, for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear that you had a wonderful experience on our Wildlife Eco Tour in Huatulco and that José made such a positive impression with his kindness, knowledge, and excellent English. It’s great to know that the pacing of the stops, the visit to La Ventanilla, and the respectful wildlife encounter all met your expectations, as well as the lunch stop to nicely round off the day. Your recommendation truly means a lot to us, and we’re very happy you enjoyed discovering this natural side of the Huatulco region. We hope to welcome you again on another adventure in the future. The Paraiso Huatulco Team.
I have mixed feelings about this tour. On the positive side, our tour guide was a very sweet, helpful person who spoke excellent English, making the day much smoother for us. The visit to Ventanilla Lagoon was absolutely superb and a fantastic highlight; it is truly a must-visit spot in the region. We also enjoyed the visit to the cosmetic factory, which was a nice addition. However, the tour did not strictly follow the advertised itinerary. We specifically chose this booking because it promised an early start to reach the lagoon first, but this was not the case. Most disappointingly, we completely missed the coffee ,mezcal and chocolate tastings mentioned in the itinerary. Since coffee is so famous in this region, I would have much preferred that over other stops. Additionally, the stops at Mazunte and Puerto Angel beach were much shorter than mentioned in the itinerary. We felt okay with this as the beach itself was not that great, but it is worth noting for others that the timing was not as described.
Dear Chetana, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re pleased to know you enjoyed Ventanilla Lagoon and that it was a highlight of the day, as well as the care and professionalism of our guide. On eco excursions like this one, timing and the order of visits are flexible and depend on group dynamics, weather, and local conditions. This is especially important during peak season, as it is now, when careful planning by the guide is essential to avoid crowded sites and to choose the best moment to visit Ventanilla Lagoon, maximizing wildlife sightings such as birds and crocodiles. Regarding the itinerary, we appreciate your comments about the tastings and time spent at certain stops. Your feedback is very valuable and helps us continue improving clarity and expectations for future travelers. Thank you for choosing to travel with us, and we hope to welcome you again on another experience along the Oaxaca coast. The Paraiso Huatulco Team
