My friends and I were a little skeptical to do this tour in the summer without snow.. but it was incredible! Such a fun experience and of course the best part… playing with 3.5 week old husky puppies!!

Fun experience with sled dogs!

Our Family truly enjoyed this experience getting to learn more about the history of dog sledding as well as how they are taken care of. Gideon was our guide and was in charge of hooking the dogs up to the sled and giving us a ride through the trails. He did an excellent job! Our grandkids loved playing with the puppies after our ride! I would highly recommend this adventure while you are in Seward!

10/10 experience!

A fantastic experience and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. So much fun on the trail and also so much information on the Ididarod and the kennels achievements. Thank you to all the team!

It was cool to see the dogs and how they work with the dog sleds and work their way up. I just thought that the actual dog sled ride would be longer. So was a little disappointed in that. But was still a cool experience

Very good - almost great

I learned a lot - very informative. I have done dog sledding tours where it is smaller groups or individual and they touch you what to do and say. This was still great but not very long. I wish we spent more time with the dogs.

Post-cruise activity in Seward

When I first booked, I assumed this was a snow-based activity, even though they make it very clear this is a wheeled ride on dry land. At first I was disappointed, but it exceeded my lowered expectations! The interactions with the dogs and the education about the Iditarod from experts were great. The staff were nice. The “sled” ride was actually pretty fun.

Fun experience!

My family enjoyed the sled dog excursion. The ride itself was fun (about 2 miles long through wooded path). The guide made the experience fun and explained the mushing process. After the ride, we went into a room to learn about snow mushing and watch a demonstration with one of the dogs. Then we got to hold 2 week old puppies. My kids loved it and said it was one of their top 3 experiences in Alaska!
