Holen Sie sich von Ihrer Unterkunft überall in Dublin. Wir beginnen Ihren Tag mit der Küstenstraße südlich von Dublin, durch den Hafen von Dun Laoghaire und dann durch Sandycove, die Heimat des James Joyce Martello Tower und des Museums, die für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich sind.
Dann durch das malerische Dorf Dalkey und die Vico Road, die Heimat vieler berühmter Persönlichkeiten wie Bono, Enya und Van Morrison, um nur einige zu nennen.
Dann betreten wir County Wicklow, den „Garten Irlands“. Unser erster Halt ist das prächtige Powerscourt Estate, bekannt für sein Haus und seine Gärten. Powerscourt House wurde von National Geographic in die Top 10 der Häuser gewählt, und die Gärten wurden von National Geographic in den Top 3 der Gärten gewählt. Das Anwesen befindet sich im Besitz der ikonischen Familie Slazenger und stammt aus dem 13. Jahrhundert. 1974 wurde das Haus von einem Feuer geplündert. Bis 1996 wurde es teilweise zu seinem ursprünglichen Glanz wiederhergestellt und ist jetzt zusammen mit den atemberaubenden Gärten für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich. Es ist als einer der beliebtesten Orte Irlands anerkannt.

Da dies eine private Tour ist, haben Sie die Möglichkeit, andere Teile von Wicklow wie den Powerscourt Waterfall zu besuchen. Der Powerscourt Waterfall liegt am Fuße der Wicklow Mountains und ist mit 121 m der höchste Berg Irlands. Er liegt 5 km vom Powerscourt Estate and Gardens entfernt. Am Wasserfall können Sie zahlreiche Tierarten genießen, darunter Vögel wie der Chaffinch, der Kuckuck, der Rabe, der Weidengrasmücke und der Sikawild. Sie können sogar ein oder zwei Eichhörnchen entdecken.
Von dort aus geht es durch die sanften Hügel und Täler von Wicklow zum Glendalough's Valley of 2 Lakes, der Heimat von St. Kevin. Wir fahren über die Militärstraße durch die Wicklow und die Dublin Mountains zurück nach Dublin. Auf Ihrem Weg durch die Moorlandschaft, die als Federbetten bekannt ist, sehen Sie Loch Dan und Loch Tay sowie das berühmte Guinness-Anwesen.
Wir beenden den Tag auf den Dublin Mountains im Johnnie Fox's Pub, dem höchsten Pub Irlands, in dem Sie ein frisches Glas Guinness genießen können!

Kieron is a very patient guide and safe driver. He provides insights to the places we visit and we gains a better understanding through his sharing. Johnnie Fox's pub and seafood restaurant has a very unique and distinctive design and layout. Food served is tasty too.

Kieron provided an amazing tour, not only making sure to show us the must-see tourist locations, but also customizing our tour per our personal requests. A big highlight of the tour was a final meal and drinks at Johnny Fox’s, the highest pub in Ireland…delicious!!!

Unfortunately our tour didn’t start off great. No one was there to collect us, so I called the company who said he was already there, once I went and asked all the guides waiting, I found Timothy but he’d been given the wrong name. He was very informative and we had a great day but the fact that his hearing aids (Which I also wear) were broken and he wasn’t going to replace them, made it very difficult, as he couldn’t hear any of our questions.

Fantastic day exploring the Wicklow area, plenty to see and do. Visited the fabulous Powercourt Gardens, Waterfall, Ancient Monestry ruins and lunch at the Heather Restaurant which was fabulous

We requested a van for 5 and an eight hour scenic drive through mid- Ireland. What we received was a friend forever and the most genuine human touch, you could ever imagine. We spent the day yesterday touring the Wicklow Mountains Glendalough and Powerscourt. Our tour guide William was a great guide with a great deal of local knowledge. He was good at allowing us plenty of time to explore at each stop. He picked the perfect spot for lunch that was a fantastic local restaurant. All in all a fun day

I could not have been happier with this tour or with Bobby our guide. Bobby was so sweet, so engaging and so accommodating, everything you would hope he would be. We went on the tour with our 2 boys and got to see so much in 7 hours but never felt rushed or like we were in the car forever (we had recently done a private day tour in Scotland and it was nothing close to this and a bit painful towards the end). Saw so many gorgeous spots and had the perfect day. The only disappointment was we didn't book Bobby for more trips!

Glendalough was striking. Cliff was a knowledgeable & courteous driver. The Powerscourt gardens were memorably lush. the waterfall is worth the trip on itsown.
