Wir beginnen am frühen Morgen mit der Besichtigung des berühmten Fortuna-Wasserfalls, dann machen wir uns auf den Weg zum ökologischen Park des Vulkans Arenal, wo wir auch durch alle Lavasteinfelder spazieren, dann erfrischen wir uns in der Tabacon-Lagune im Park und nach einem köstlichen Mittagessen werden wir es tun Der Abschluss findet im Fluss Tabacon mit seinen natürlichen heißen Quellen statt.

Wir wandern über 500 Stufen hinunter, um den Wasserfall zu finden, wo Sie schwimmen können. Anschließend steigen wir die 500 Stufen wieder hinauf, um zum nächsten Ort zu gelangen.
Hier wandern wir zum Fuß des Vulkans. Die Wanderung durch den Park dauert etwa 2 bis 3 Stunden, dann essen wir direkt dort zu Mittag und nach dem Mittagessen machen wir uns auf den Weg zum Fluss mit den heißen Quellen

Ein Minibus und ein Reiseleiter werden jeden in der Hotellobby treffen. Die Abholzeit sollte mit dem Unternehmen bestätigt werden, da dies je nach Standort variieren kann. Für Hotels wie The Springs Resort, Arenal Observatory Lodge, Arenal Lodge und Lost Iguana wird eine zusätzliche Gebühr für die Hin- und Rückfahrt erhoben.

Although our pick up time and hotel were listed on my invoice, no one showed up. After contacting a Viator rep, we were told to go to a different hotel for pick up, and the trip was canceled. The local tour operator didn’t answer the call. This is the first time Viator has let us down . Very upsetting. I guess we’ll get a refund.

Although we started with a slight hiccup, the tour went on to become a really good one. The hiccup happened with the pickup where the tour company failed to get us from the hotel as requested on the app. But once they realized the issue, a pickup car was sent to get us from the hotel to the waterfall. But then after that everything was flawless. Stunning view of the La Fortuna waterfall to the arenal volcano hike… luckily we didn’t experience much rain after the waterfall hike, which went in our favor. The guides would stop all along the way to give a detailed description of the different plants and trees.

This tour was so much fun and had beautiful views! First we got to hike to the La fortuna waterfall and swim at the bottom, then we hiked to a viewpoint of the Arenal Volcano, had lunch, and went to relax in a natural hot spring. Would definitely recommend!

The trip was interesting. Very well organized. We got picked up from our hotel. It was poring the whole time, though (rainforest, right??). I'd suggest reserving at the last moment, if possible, checking the weather. We didn't see much, all was covered in water. The guide gave lots of information.

As advertised, this tour requires a good level of fitness. Plus take into account that it's hot and humid, so the volcano hike in particular seemed more strenuous than I expected. First was the waterfall - 500 steps down and up. It was beautiful and the cold water felt good. Next was the volcano hike. Our group was fairly large (around 30 people), so it was helpful to have multiple guides to split into smaller groups. My guide was Augustin - simply excellent. He went above and beyond in my opinion. The view of Arenal at the top was fantastic. After Arenal, we went to the hot springs, which was also an excellent experience. The tour company was great. I'm rating it a 4 only because of an issue with Viator that they don't seem interested in helping me solve. I would recommend booking this tour directly with the tour company if possible.
