Der Vulkan Arenal ist einer der schönsten Vulkane der Welt und hat die perfekte Kegelform. Wir wandern durch die Gegend und kommen dem Vulkan so nah, wie es gesetzlich erlaubt ist; dort spazieren wir über die Spuren des letzten Ausbruchs und machen Fotos von der Landschaft. Nach der Wanderung durch das Lavafeld begeben wir uns in den Wald, um die Tierwelt der Region zu entdecken, darunter Affen, Faultiere, Tukane, Schlangen, Frösche, Ameisenbären, Wildschweine und vieles mehr. Ihre Reiseleiter, die hier geboren und aufgewachsen sind, kennen die Gegend so gut, dass sie Ihnen alles erklären und Ihre Fragen beantworten können; außerdem erfahren Sie viel über die Geschichte des Vulkans und der Umgebung. We had an absolutely incredible tour through the rainforest and up to the Arenal Volcano, all thanks to our guide, Emanuel. His passion, deep knowledge, and expertise made the entire experience unforgettable. He was fantastic at spotting wildlife we never would have seen on our own and sharing fascinating details about the history and geology of the volcano. Emanuel was engaging, professional, and genuinely fun to spend the day with. If you are visiting the area, do yourself a favor and book a tour with him—he truly made our trip special!

We had an amazing time with Emmanuel! He took us to hike the volcano and showed us the hot springs after! It was a cloudy day, but cleared up as soon as we got to the volcano!
After this tour we felt like we could be tour guides! We learned so much! We enjoyed every part of this. Emmanuel also took time to find us animals and birds in the trees to see, we loved it. Truly a great experience with a very knowledgeable guide, don’t pass this one up! He also is an amazing photographer and took the best pictures of us throughout the whole tour. It was great and the pineapple at the end topped it all off, so refreshing. Thank you so much, Emmanuel!

Our guide was super knowledgeable and passionate about the beautiful nature around Costa Rica, and taught us a lot! Was also very talented at pointing out various types of birds, snakes, and monkeys along the way. He was fun to talk to, and made the hike very memorable. Would definitely do this guided trail again next time we are in CR 🤙

The 1968 Guided Hike was one of the highlights of our time in Arenal. Our guide brought the landscape to life by explaining the history of the 1968 volcanic eruption, pointing out wildlife, and sharing insights about the rainforest ecosystem. The trail offered stunning views of Arenal Volcano, lava fields, and Lake Arenal, making for a memorable and educational experience.

We booked a tour of arenal volcano through Get Your Guide and were lucky to be matched up with Emmanuel. He was very knowledgeable and patient. We are a family of 6 with kids ranging in age from 4-22. He was great with both the little and big kids. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the knowledge and history that he shared about La Fortuna and the volcano. We liked the experience so much that we booked the private sloth tour the next day and it was an even better experience! I cannot recommend it highly enough. Do not hesitate to book with Emmanuel- you will have a wonderful time and cherish the memories!

This hike and the entire experience guided by Emmanuel was nothing short of breathtaking. Emmanuel is very knowledgeable about the history of Costa Rica, the volcanos and the beautiful culture and people of Costa Rica. If you are taking an excursion not guided by Emmanuel you are taking the wrong one. This is 100/10.
Not all tours are the same: some you follow, others you actually experience. This one definitely belongs to the second category. Emmanuel has a very sharp eye for wildlife and an attentive, intuitive way of guiding. What I particularly appreciated was the balance: very informative, yet relaxed. If you’re looking for something beyond just “seeing animals” - something a bit more immersive - Emmanuel is a very good choice. Overall, a genuinely great experience.
