John Comerford used to work with the tourist board in Kilkenny. He completely understands the local history and explains it well. It was a delightful walk through the deep and important Kilkenny history. Our time with John was our favorite Kilkenny experience. The 2.5 hrs were time well spent and most enjoyable!

“Thanks a million, Timothy. I’m delighted you enjoyed the tour. It was great chatting with you and the group along the way, and I really appreciated your thoughtful questions. Thanks for the kind recommendation
John is such a terrific ambassador for the beautiful city he clearly loves. Never would we have learned so much about this wonderful place had we just set out on our own. He took us to the obvious attractions but he offered so much more than that by sharing and showing us bits of the smaller known historical and cultural offerings. His charming demeanor and extensive knowledge made for a most enjoyable afternoon.
Thanh you Ellen so much for your wonderful review. It was a real pleasure spending the afternoon with you both. Kilkenny ia a city I am proud to call home and it means a lot to me to hear that the stories of the smaller details and the lesser known corners added something special to visit
John was a great local guide. Great local history and insight. Booked the day before and we were lucky to be the only two on the walk. (Many operators may have cancelled) Great way to see and understand local history. Would recommend to anyone, avoid just walking alone with no history behind.
I’m delighted you and Stacey enjoyed the walk and the chance to explore Kilkenny with a local perspective. It was a real pleasure having the two of you on tour, and I’m glad the timing worked out so you could enjoy a more personal experience. Sharing the stories, history, and hidden corners of the city is always a joy, and it means a lot to hear you found it worthwhile. Kilkenny really comes alive when you know the people and the past behind the streets.
