What a wonderful experience thanks to our tour guide Gauhar Ali. We felt very comfortable thanks to him he made sure we got the best service, the night before I got an email from the operator confirming location and pick up time and was asked if I would like to change the timings due to the heat which I was very grateful for. My favourite part was the dune bashing and camel rid, the rest of the family really enjoyed the bbq and entertainment at the end of the activities it was much needed.

I almost skipped this excursion due to the extreme heat conditions, but Ahtisham, the guide of the day, ensured me that it would be fine. I’m so happy I listened because it was a 10/10 experience and I would have seriously regretted passing it up to have another pool day. From pick up to drop off, everything was explained in great detail, so I always knew what was going on. Ahtisham was amazing. I participated in all of the activities and feel that I had a full desert experience! I absolutely recommend!

I liked some and disliked some. I felt really scared speeding off the dunes. I got so uncomfortable that I asked the driver to let me out and ride with the other passengers only but he didn't. Perhaps guesta should be asked in advance if they are risk takers or not, and be split in groups accordingly. The tour was run with a strong intent to sell more activities throughout the day which weren't cheap. The dancing show was very nice and I really enjoyed it. The food was good but the people that didn't pay for premium seating had to wait past 8 pm to get food even though it didn't have to be that way. The regular food was served in a totally different tent so waiting didn't make much sense. Smoking in the vehicle should be forbidden by the guests and driver even when the driver is using the vehicle in private. The smoke penetrates the interior and it's very inconsiderate to people with breathing problems.

Our driver was friendly and did a great job during the desert safari. However, if you’re tall, be prepared for a tight ride. We were seated in the back of the SUV, and it was very cramped and uncomfortable for the duration of the drive. The dune bashing itself was exciting and well done, but I would not recommend it for anyone with back pain or other spine issues, as it can be quite rough. Be aware of the extra charges once you arrive. The BBQ dinner costs 50 AED per person, and there are additional fees for activities like camel rides and ATV rides. Even something as simple as having the traditional headscarf tied costs 50 AED per person. Since there were two of us, we ended up spending around 300 AED on these extras. It felt like the tour operators and activity vendors worked together to encourage additional spending. Overall, the safari ride was enjoyable because of the driver’s skill, but the cramped seating and constant upselling took away from the overall experience. Go prepared for the extra costs and avoid this tour if you have back problems.
