Es ist wenig bekannt, dass über 60% des weltweiten Rosenöls in einigen wenigen kleinen Tälern Bulgariens, versteckt zwischen beeindruckenden Gebirgszügen, produziert wird. Dies ist ein aufregender Ganztagesausflug, der Sie zu einer märchenhaften Landschaft aus Rosenfeldern, Lavendel und Sonnenblumen führt, die von den schroffen Gipfeln des Balkangebirges überragt werden. Dort wird Ihr Guide die Geheimnisse und den Glanz der bulgarischen Rosenölproduktion in einer renommierten Brennerei enthüllen. Später besuchen Sie auch die elegante russische Geburtskirche und, wenn es die Zeit erlaubt, den Shipka-Gipfel für einen tollen Panoramablick. Auf dem Rückweg wird die Fahrt auf einer anderen Straße mit völlig anderen Aussichten stattfinden. Ihr englischsprachiger Fahrer hält Sie für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Koprvishtitsa an, einer Kleinstadt, die die bulgarische Renaissancearchitektur auf die beste Weise präsentiert.

Ihr Tag voller Aktivitäten beginnt um 07:00 Uhr mit einem Hop-On Board in einem kleinen Minibus (normalerweise mit WLAN), um nach Süden zu fahren und eine malerische Fahrt durch die bulgarische Landschaft zu genießen.
Sie werden Ihren lokalen Guide in der Stadt Kazanluk treffen. Die Stadt liegt im Herzen des Rosentals, wo über 60% des Rosenöls der Welt produziert wird und mehr Lavendelöl als in der berühmten Provence, Frankreich. Von hier aus beginnt Ihre geführte Erkundung der üppigen Naturschönheit des Tals zwischen den Gebirgsketten Balkan und Sredna Gora. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Rosen von Mitte Mai bis Mitte Juni nur einmal im Jahr blühen. Für den Rest des Jahres können Sie keine blühenden Rosenfelder beobachten.
Sie besuchen die Damascena-Rosenbrennerei, in der Ihnen der gesamte Prozess der Rosenpflückung und der Rosenölproduktion aufgedeckt und erklärt wird. Es wird eine der aromatischsten Erfahrungen sein, die Sie in Ihrem Leben erleben werden.
Wenn es die Zeit erlaubt, werden Sie zum Shipka-Monument gefahren, von wo aus Sie eine fantastische Aussicht auf beide Seiten des Balkan-Gebirges haben.
Koprivshtitsa ist eine lebendige Stadt, aber auch ein architektonisches Reservat, das eine 2-stündige Fahrt von der Stadt Kazanluk entfernt ist. Sie haben Zeit, die Herrenhäuser aus dem 19. Jahrhundert, von denen die Stadt bekannt ist, auf eigene Faust zu erkunden und zu bestaunen. Sie haben genug Zeit, um Ihre Beine zu strecken, indem Sie sich entlang der gepflasterten Straßen und den zahlreichen kleinen Brücken schlängeln.
Nach einem weiteren 2-stündigen Transfer erreichen Sie den ursprünglichen Punkt, an dem Ihre Tour morgens begonnen hat.

We had a truly wonderful experience on the Viator day trip to the Rose Valley and Koprivshtica. The entire tour was very well organised and offered a perfect blend of cultural immersion and scenic beauty. A special highlight was our tour guide, Maria, who was absolutely outstanding. She was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about her work, and communicated everything clearly in excellent English. What really stood out was her attentiveness and consideration for the needs and comfort of all her guests, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the Rose Festival. Participating in the rose picking in the fields was a unique and memorable experience. The festivities, with traditional folk dances and songs, created a vibrant and authentic atmosphere that truly captured the spirit of Bulgarian culture. Koprivshtica, on the other hand, offered a peaceful contrast. The village was quiet, beautifully preserved, and full of charm. The guided tour of the village was very informative and allowed us to appreciate its rich history and architecture. Overall, this was a very impressive tour that I would highly recommend. It perfectly combined cultural experiences, beautiful landscapes, and excellent guidance.

The trip was beautiful! We had the luck of being in Bulgaria at the right time to experience the blooming rose fields, which were amazing. All area smelled like roses. We also loved Koprivtschica, it is a must see if you're in Bulgaria. Our giude was very nice and informative, he shared a lot interesting stories trough all sightseeing. We would recommend this trip to anyone if you have a free day to spare.

We had a fabulous day visiting the Valley of the Roses and Koprivshtitsa. It was an excellent tour.Chris was our guide and he had a great knowledge of yhe placescwe visited as well as the history of Bulgaria. He also gave a great social commentary about the way of life. We were so lucky to visit while the roses were flowering, it was amazing to stand amongst them and experience their beautiful scent and then see oil production. The Shipka monument and Koprivshtitsa were beautiful and the drive and the views were great.

Very nice trip that will take you to Kazanlak to see the Damascena Ethnographic Complex, an old Thracian Tomb, the russian church in Shipka... Our guide Kristov was extremely nice and since we were only 2 people, me and my wife, and we had already seen Koprivshtitsa he kindly accepted to change the route and took us to Shipka monument and Gabrovo. A very nice day with a nice guide, recommended!
