Diese Tour führt Sie zu zwei Burgstädten, Hikone – mit einer der ältesten Burgen Japans – und Omi Hachiman – bekannt für seine bezaubernden Kanäle. Unser erster Halt auf der Tour ist die Burg Hikone – eine der besterhaltenen Burgen Japans und ein Nationalschatz. Sie ist eine von nur zwölf originalen Burgen aus der Edo-Zeit. Einige ihrer Gebäude wurden zu wichtigen Kulturgütern erklärt. Ihr Reiseleiter führt Sie durch das Burggelände und in den Bergfried und erklärt Ihnen dabei die einzigartigen Merkmale der Burg.
Anschließend haben wir Zeit für einen entspannten Spaziergang durch den Genkyu-en-Garten. Der Garten, der einem Palastgarten aus China nachempfunden ist, verfügt über einen zentralen Teich mit Spazierwegen und bietet eine unglaubliche Aussicht auf das Schloss. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, Matcha-Tee und eine traditionelle japanische Süßigkeit in einem Teehaus zu probieren, das einst zur Unterhaltung der Gäste des Schlossherrn genutzt wurde.
Unser nächster Halt ist die Yume Kyobashi Castle Road, eine beliebte Einkaufsstraße mit schwarzen Zäunen und weiß getünchten Wänden. Hier haben Sie Zeit zum Mittagessen und für ein bisschen Shopping. Die Region ist berühmt für erstklassiges Wagyu und viele Geschäfte verkaufen die Delikatesse als Kroketten, Spieße, Hot Pots und mehr. Fragen Sie Ihren Reiseleiter nach Empfehlungen oder lassen Sie sich von Ihrer Nase leiten. Aber vergessen Sie nicht, später auf der Tour Platz für den Nachtisch zu lassen!
Wir machen uns auf den Weg zum Kanalviertel Omi Hachiman, wo Sie auf den historischen Wasserstraßen entlangfahren und dabei die malerische Aussicht auf die Burgstadt genießen können. Filmliebhabern werden die Sehenswürdigkeiten vielleicht bekannt vorkommen, da dieser Ort oft in historischen Dramen und Filmen verwendet wird. Natürlich steht Ihnen Ihr Reiseleiter zur Verfügung, um Ihnen beim Aufnehmen von Fotos zu helfen, die Ihre Freunde und Familie neidisch machen werden. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Bootstour wetterbedingt abgesagt werden kann. Darüber hinaus können wir Gästen, die diese Tour weniger als eine Woche im Voraus buchen, keinen Platz auf der Bootstour garantieren. Von hier aus kehren wir zum Tourbus zurück und fahren zurück zu Ihrem Treffpunkt, um uns dort zu verabschieden.
Unser letzter Halt ist La Collina. Dieser Süßwarenladen ist Teil des Naturschutzgebietes und Teil des Freizeitparks. Es ist von Natur umgeben und serviert eine große Auswahl an beliebten saisonalen Süßigkeiten. Ursprünglich eine Bäckerei, entwickelten die Besitzer eine tiefe Wertschätzung für natürliche Zutaten und beschlossen daher, ihren Laden in ein Naturschutzgebiet zu verwandeln, in dem sie ihre eigenen Zutaten anbauen und auf die Jahreszeiten abgestimmt sein konnten. Der Shop wurde als Ghibli-ähnlich beschrieben und ist eine großartige Location für Fotografieliebhaber. Natürlich dürfen auch die Desserts nicht fehlen.

Kim was an amazing tour guide for our day trip. She adapts to your needs and makes the experience feel personal and comfortable. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the area, and she’s also very kind and enjoyable to be around. Kim gets along wonderfully with children too, which made the trip even more relaxing and fun for our family. Also, a special shoutout to our driver, Nakanishi, who was professional, friendly, and made the journey smooth and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Amazingly there were just the two of us for this trip, guided by knowledgeable and foresightful Kim. Although the boat trip was good, the gentle walk round the superb Castle Garden was the best.

Booking process, easy. Driver (it was Mr Kondo) and guide (Ms Kim): good, friendly, punctual, knowledgeable. Van, clean and comfortable. Our excursion: Hikone Castle, Omi Hachiman. Lots to see.
