Excellent experience!

We really liked it! Activity very well organized and exceeded expectations! Starting with the driver, Hicham, super friendly, very fun, knows when to animate the malt but also let us rest. With plenty of knowledge of the areas we explored as well as from all over the country and with very useful tips. Gave us an authentic masterclass of Moroccan history and culture. It was a privilege to share these 3 days with him, where surely the experience would not have been as captivating, engaging and fruitful as it was. Along the way we made several stops in areas with stunning views to take photos, enjoy the landscape, and of course we could not miss the insights of our driver Hicham about the places we passed helping us to better understand the place we visited. In the desert, the quad bike ride is very worthwhile, it was very fun and only some “free time” was missing so we could have fun without being in queues in the desert dunes. Prepare for the camel ride, the landscape is very beautiful and very worth it but the camel is not comfortable. The luxury field was below expectations, the air conditioning worked well (a great advantage), however the shower had little pressure and the water was not hot, which should be reviewed by the organization. The way to Fez again presented magnificent landscapes where we also made stops to enjoy the views and even stopped to see monkeys. Overall a very good experience, well worth it, especially if you are lucky to have the Hicham with you!

Fantastic trip with Hassan

Our driver Hassan was fantastic! We loved our trip with hassan as he was fast and efficient while being extremely knowledgeable about each location we visited, answering any questions we had, he also has a great sense of humor! Hassan was also incredibly kind and accommodating, stopping when any of us needed to use thr bathroom without complaining and with no issue. All in all Hassan was a perfect guide for our morrocco trip, showing us marrakesh, merzouga, atlas mountains, fez, berber villages, canyons and even monkey forests. THANK YOU HASSAN!

Parts to love, Parts to hate but overall amazing for the cost. But riding camels & having monkeys jump on you = worth it

I loved our driver. He was funny, kind, professional. Essentially you get into a larger sprinter van with a couple other people (I think about 15 total), then head off and there are lots of stopping points along the way where other vans also meet, so that there's a group of about 60 people all sort of caravaning together. I didn't like that bc it makes the experience not very intimate. But so it is. I hated the tour at Ait Ben Haddou. The tour guide seemed to be making sales pitches so that you'd buy the art from this guy and the scarf from this guy by saying things like "poor quality scarfs will bleed color when you sweat, but I'll show you the shop where you can get high quality scarfs that won't." and then you have to follow him around to the places he goes. What should have been an interesting 30 minutes tour / hike of the old city became and hour and a half of standing in line at the places he probably gets a % kick back from to buy overpriced scarves and art when the scarves there are exactly the same place as everywhere else except that he has convinced you you need to buy them there at 15 Euro a pop. dumb. Why don't they tell you ahead of time to have a scarf, sunscreen, water and sunglasses? So that they can make a cut when you buy it on the tour. And then you don't even need those things. My mother in law bought into every word they sent our way and insisted we buy more sunscreen, sunglasses and the certain scarves, when we a. had enough sunscreen, b. didn't need scarves or sunglasses bc you walk out into the dessert just before dusk. I took my scarf and sunglasses off after about 10 minutes on the camels. Don't buy eveyrthing they shovel. I didn't realize how *much* driving there is. it's about 7 hours a day, which they break up with little visits, hotels, etc. Its a lot. We took 5 small kids... and ... I felt bad for them. But for me it was worth it to ride the camels and visit the monkeys on the third day! I do think the trip organizers try to make it really as good as it can be > stopping at decent restrooms and nice cafes along the way. I hated all the driving in the van who's AC only seemed to work well in the mornings and by the time the afternoon sun was up, it was more like a fan than cool air (which I appreciated all the same!). And we stopped at a lot of places that I wouldn't have gotten to see if I did not do this trip (Marrakech > Fes 3 day tour). I loved feeling like I got a broader view of the country as a whole by driving through it. It's just a lot of driving!! But I loved Oussama our driver, I loved the camels, the monkeys, the chance to see more, and I loved the guide at Tinghir so much (Abdul) and the rug cooperative they took us to there. So I still gave it 5 stars because I feel guilty giving it 4 and disappointing Ousamma. Also my MIL was very anxious the whole time and kept asking questions about timing and what to expect and being worried. And then my kids... 5 little kids, it was hard for them. And he was just so patient with us. And other groups did not have a snowboard for the sand like we did - but we shared ours so everyone got to try it. It's like bad snowboarding. But it's worth trying so try to book with a sandboard, which our tour option had. Overall, I thought it was a great deal for all we got, even if there were some rough spots and they should give the guide at Ait Ben Haddou a talking to. Let the people see the village, don't make them follow you like a herd of dumb cattle and stand in the sun to hear for the third time all the movies that were shot there, and then all about which things we should buy. Please give us some solid history, and let us hike / look around as suits us best. that was for sure the worst part of the day and they end a tour at a cafe in town that is different from where they drop you off, so you can't even just buzz off and go ahead and do your own thing. They should reconsider that part.

Dear Loralee, Thank you for your wonderfully honest and detailed review. We're so glad Oussama made the trip special, and that you loved the camels, monkeys, and Tinghir guide Abdul. We hear you clearly on the Ait Ben Haddou tour, too much selling, not enough history or freedom to explore. That's valuable feedback. Also noted on the A/C and long driving days. Thank you for your patience with the kids and for still giving 5 stars. We truly appreciate it.

Long drives makes new friends

This experience was enjoyable, we were paired with 6 other people around our age group which definitely helped for the long car rides. Our driver Hussain was amazing, although his English was limited he always made an effort to answer questions about the surrounding areas. He was polite and always smiling, couldn’t have asked for a better driver. The tour itself is what you would expect, scenic stop for photos, people forcing sales on you and some second thoughts on riding camels due to ethical reasons but all in all a well priced experience. We felt looked after

Great memories!

Overall, we had an amazing experience with Ando travel, particularly because of our bus driver, Youssef. He was very kind and understanding, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our trip. We also appreciate that it seemed like our group was created intentionally; we made friends and loved our crew. Some things to know in advance: some of the stops along the way felt sales-oriented, and it often became awkward if the group didn’t buy anything from the stores we stopped at. Lunch was not included, and the value was okay for the price. We would definitely do this experience over again—the Sahara is worth it!

Fantastic tour taking in the Sahara desert, High Atlas Mountains and many stunning and fascinating landscapes/cultures

Fantastic tour - the desert and the camel riding was a highlight - the desert camp was also superb. Really enjoyed some of the stops on the way especially Ait Benadhou and the visit to the carpet cooperative. And driving through the rose production area. The camels were really well cared for and the handlers were really friendly and gentle. We had great food on the 3 days learning a lot about Moroccan and local cuisines.
