We did this cruise as part of our trip booked through Reflections Travel for our trip in Egypt. We booked a full tour, from Cairo to Aswan via flights and Nile Cruise. The cruise was great, the staff on the ship were professional and very nice. They were constantly trying help us and make us comfortable. We had a guide for the entire cruise which was really nice. We’d sit with him on the sun deck and discuss plans for the next day and ask questions about the towns and farms we passed by on the Nile. We highly recommend the cruise and would enjoy doing again.

The tour consisted of various elements and was very well organised. Our tour guides and drivers were all very good, but our tour guide for the Nile Cruise element Abdo (5 stars), was excellent. Abdo's knowledge of ancient Egypt was impressive, and he brought it to life for us with his stories and explanations. He cared for our comfort, providing umbrellas' when the heat became too much. His modern day knowledge of Egypt was also great. Abdo met us at Aswan Airport and stayed with us throughout the 4 day Nile cruise until dropping us at Luxor Airport. The hotels and Nile boat were different ones to what we expected from the Reflections website so we were never sure where we were going but the service and friendliness of all the staff were good. The only issue I have is the lack of communication from Reflections Travel. We had to chase for all information - which airline? what flight time? booking reference? for the internal flights, what time were we being picked up? were not provided as a matter of course. Even on the last day we chased for our final transfer to the airport, eventually they text to say the hotel provided a shuttle - it's not hard to provide information, but painful to get it. This would have received 5 stars bar the poor communication and information on the tour logistics.

Egypt remains magical and magical due to its history and all its monuments! BUT, if you are taking a cruise, avoid powerboats for several reasons: Dockside they're all glued to each other. There are often moorings at night so it is noisy. No matter where you are in the boat, it’s very loud, the crewmen talking, and especially the engines of all the boats that turn H24 to provide electricity. If you have a choice take cabins in the front, it is less worse (as they say). In our opinion, the best option would be to sail down the Nile. Once arrived, take a transport, to avoid the lift towed by a tug.

Awesome tour of Luxor and Aswan! Egypt Tours Portal did a great job organizing everything and Mahmoud Nour was an excellent guide. It was so nice to have all details taken care of with transportation, tickets, food, and activities and Mahmoud handled it all seamlessly. We and our children loved visiting the incredible Valley of the Kings, Luxor and Karnak temples, Abu Simbel, and so much more. The additional excursions to the Nubian village and hot air balloon ride were memorable and very worth it. Overall, we couldn't be more pleased with Mahmoud and our whole cruise experience. We booked our tour through Viator with tour operator reflections travels. Before our tour I contacted them to do little more customized and they were very accomodative. All their tour guides very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this Egypt tour.

The service was as advertised. The cruise ship was delivering as promised. The food was good, the room spacious, with an outside view. The service of the cruise ship staff (Royal Viking) excellent. Excellent travel agency service (Reflections Travel) (private guide and private transfers). Best of all was the attention of the guide Abdo, who accompanied us the whole trip. He had a lot of knowledge of Egyptology, he made sure everything was always fine. Attentive and predisposed, certainly the best guide we have had in Egypt. I recommend the experience. The service was as advertised. The cruise fulfilled what was promised. The food was good, the room was spacious, with a view of the outside. The service of the cruise staff (Royal Viking) was excellent. The service of the travel agency (Reflections Travel) was excellent (private guide and private transfers). The best of all was the attention of the guide Abdo, who accompanied us throughout the trip. He had a lot of knowledge of Egyptology, he made sure that everything was always fine. Attentive and helpful, without a doubt the best guide we have had in Egypt.

Reflection travels arranged the 5 days 4 nights Luxor to Aswan Nile Cruise for our family. We had last minute issues with train tickets to Luxor and reflection was very helpful in being accommodative with schedule. Our personal guide Abdo was very knowledgeable and kind. He made sure all the logistics were taken care of and properly communicated to us. After a trip plagued with travel hurdles in Egypt, it was a sigh of relief having Abdo take care of all the tickets and tours. He was very flexible with trying to work around what we wanted to see in the valley of the kings. In addition. He’s also a wealth of knowledge. Without him, things would be more chaotic. The cruise itself was comfortable and relaxing. By no means should you expect western standard cruise but it is good by Egyptian standards.

Excellent service on board on MS Royal Viking. Food tends to be international but does have some delicious Egyptian food which I would have liked more of. Very clean, quiet cabin. Tips for crew, which are customary, to share - put in envelope and give to reception desk. The itinerary on the first day was adjusted to fit with our starting hotel location, so top marks for that to our very well informed guide, Hany. He looked after us well, giving us guidance on how to avoid being taken in by the merchants in the shops that you have to walk through at many of the sites (tombs & temples). And advising on prices. He took us to the best tombs in the valley of kings, gave us the salient facts and stories for the sites, and gave us free time for us to wander at our own pace. He was an excellent guide and time keeper.

Our cruise was such a great experience! The Temples and tombs are fascinating, we had a great guide Hany, who quickly and accurately gauged our level of interest. He was great fun, but the main thing was his knowledge and love of Egyptology, which he shared in a way that kept engaged on each and every visit. He looked after us very well and helped us navigate buying the very few things that we really wanted. Hany was great! Boat staff were so nice and friendly.. Colette. UK.

Enjoyed celebrating my bday on this trip to Egypt. The itinerary, our guide, and our drivers were all amazing that Reflections Travel provided. Abdo our guide during the bulk of our travel was super nice, easy going, flexible, and made changes to maximize our day and ensure that we saw, learned, enjoyed our trip. Felt totally safe and comfortable.
