Die Landwirtschaft ist ein entscheidender Teil der vietnamesischen Wirtschaft, und um den ländlichen Lebensstil kennenzulernen, reisen wir von Hanoi in ein 800 Jahre altes Dorf. Auf dem Weg besuchen wir einen atemberaubenden Bonsai-Garten, um diese komplizierte Kunst zu bewundern und Zeuge der wunderschönen Pflanzenkreationen zu werden. Darüber hinaus treffen wir eine einheimische Familie, die in einem traditionellen vietnamesischen Haus lebt, das 200 Jahre alt ist, und haben die Gelegenheit, mit ihnen zu plaudern, während wir Süßigkeiten und Tee genießen, wobei unser Reiseleiter als Übersetzer hilft.
Auf unserer weiteren Reise durchqueren wir das friedliche Farmgebiet von Red River Island mit seinen üppigen Bananen- und Gemüsefeldern. Wir wagen uns vom Hauptweg auf eine unbefestigte Straße, die uns durch atemberaubende grüne Reisfelder führt. Unser nächster Halt ist der Zitadellentempel von Co Loa, eine historische Stätte mit atemberaubender Landschaft, die bis ins Jahr 300 v. Chr. zurückreicht. Dieser Ort ist in der Geschichte Vietnams von Bedeutung, da er mit der Legende der Errichtung und des Schutzes des Landes vor ausländischen Eindringlingen unter der Herrschaft von Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong verbunden ist. Während der Fahrt haben wir mehrere Gelegenheiten anzuhalten und Fotos von den Einheimischen bei der Arbeit auf ihren Farmen inmitten der wunderschönen Umgebung zu machen.
Der Abschluss unseres Abenteuers findet in einem lokalen Restaurant in der Stadt statt, wo wir authentische vietnamesische Küche probieren und uns mit der lokalen Spezialität Eierkaffee verwöhnen lassen können, bevor wir zu Ihrem Hotel gebracht werden.
Wir fahren weiter in die Landschaft entlang der Ufer des Roten Flusses, um die atemberaubende Schönheit der Landschaft Vietnams zu genießen und Bauern bei der Bewirtschaftung ihres Landes zu beobachten. Wir besuchen eine einheimische Familie, die Bonsai herstellt, um etwas über diese komplizierte Kunstform zu lernen und einige der atemberaubenden Pflanzenkreationen zu bewundern
Anschließend besuchen wir das Dorf Hoi Phu, das für die Herstellung von Besen bekannt ist, einem beliebten traditionellen Handwerk im Delta des Roten Flusses. Die Gäste werden talentierten Besenmachern dabei zusehen, wie sie aus Ginstergras funktionelle und schöne Besenstiele herstellen.

We had a very good time with the Hanoi Countryside by Legend Jeep Tour! Visit outside Ha Noi gave us new perspectives with regards to Vietnam and its people.Emma, our sympathetic and sensible guide, gave us very interesting facts about the culture, legends and history. We liked the people she had us met. Interesting to know about broom fabrication and about the veteran's family history. Wonderful bonsais. Another point of view so we could know more and better about vietnamese people. Pace is great, length is great and Kim drived us safely through it. Stops at the pound and the lunch were great. We have a fantastic time with our tour guides summi,s English was fantastic Kai was a very competent and safe driver and also a funny chap. Ky and Emma were wonderful hosts, very fun, welcoming and informative. It was just me on the tour and I had a great afternoon escaping the city driving through rice patties. A great experience touring the more rural side of the Hanoi outskirts. Authentic food and an open top trip in a UAZ. Our guide Happy was delighted to answer our questions and made every effort to help us enjoy the afternoon.

We did an afternoon trip into a country village outside of Hanoi. Our tour guide Happy, was full of knowledge, humour and great conversation. We ate great local food, were shown around rice fields, and learnt about local culture and village history. Happy took us to meet a local gentleman and his wife who were in their 80's, who served us tea and we got to ask them questions about their lives which Happy translated for us. This tour was a special highlight of our trip to Hanoi, and Happy was a fantastic guide who we recommend highly.
