Die Grotten von Castellana, ein Komplex aus unterirdischen Höhlen aus Karst, von großem touristischem Interesse, gehören zu den schönsten und spektakulärsten in Italien. Die Temperatur der Innenräume beträgt etwa 16,5 °C. Die Schönheit der Castellana-Höhlen zieht Besucher aus der ganzen Welt an, und seit ihrer Öffnung für die Öffentlichkeit sind mehr als 15 Millionen Menschen durch die unterirdischen Gänge gegangen. Der Besuch der Höhlen erstreckt sich über eine 3 km lange Route: ein außergewöhnlicher geführter Ausflug, etwa 70 Meter tief, in einer erstaunlichen Umgebung, wo Höhlen mit fantastischen Namen, Schluchten, tiefe Abgründe, Fossilien, Stalaktiten, Stalagmiten, Konkretionen mit unglaublichem und überraschendem Ausmaß Farben regen die Fantasie von Kindern und Erwachsenen an. Die Grotten von Castellana sind daher eine unumgängliche Gelegenheit, einen der überraschendsten Naturorte im wunderschönen Apulien zu bewundern.

Nach der Führung durch die Grotten von Castellana haben Sie im Zentrum von Polignano a Mare etwas Freizeit, um zu Mittag zu essen oder die Stadt zu erkunden, bevor die Bootstour beginnt.

The activities do not have guides, only drivers who take you to specific places. You must remember the meeting points well. The places visited are very enjoyable; it is worth taking the tour.
Made the boat trip to the caves with Blue Wave. Truly a unique beautiful experience. Definitely recommended! (Park somewhere in the harbor, no need to park in the parking lot)

Tour was cancelled due to bad weather. Although a refund was promised directly, the money was never transferred back. It was only after several memories that the money was refunded weeks later.

We were surprised to find out last minute that we needed to make our way to Polignano a half hour earlier than the stated tour time. When we arrived at the caves we had to wait more than a half hour for our tour to begin, so why the initial rush? Once we entered the caves, it was truly a magnificent site! Know that you can only take pictures in the first room of caves. You have the choice of jumping off the tour after 1 kilometer or continuing to the white cave. It was a long walk to the white cave with not much more information to hear than in the first kilometer. It took us so long we had no time for lunch in between tours. The boat tour of the caves under Polignano was unbelievable! So beautiful! We could not get over how our boat captain could maneuver the boat into, around and out of the caves. We had not planned to swim because it was October but, I imagine swimming in those waters really adds to the tour. We were glad the boat tour was the second half of the tour.
Unfortunately the instruction when we first arrived at the Caves was not clear enough, the driver gave as tickets and said enter at 10:45 then us and another couple in the queue, he failed to tell us that this was for the English guide, when the doors opened and we entered at 10 we followed the queue, I asked the guide if there was an english guide she didn't quite understand me and said no so we did the Italian guided tour, when we got back to the driver, he informed us we should have gone in at 10:45 was disappointing. The sea part was cancelled due to rain. but we received a refund for that portion.
Fabulous tour not to be missed. The cavern views are stunning followed by the boat tour of the grottoes. Don’t forget your swimsuit for the boat tour.
