Besuchen Sie Wat Lokayasutharam, um den riesigen liegenden Buddha mit 37 Metern Länge und 8 Metern Höhe zu sehen. Der Buddha wurde aus Backstein und Zement im Kunststil von Middle Ayutthaya hergestellt.
Wat Yai Chai Mang Khon wurde 1357 von König U-Thong (dem ersten König von Ayutthaya) erbaut und war der Meditationsort für Mönche, die von Pilgerreisen nach Sri Lanka zurückkehrten. Der große Chedi wurde 1592 von König Naresuan dem Großen erbaut, um an seinen Sieg über Birma (jetzt Myanmar) im selben Jahr zu erinnern.
Wat Mahathat, berühmt für den "Bhuddha-Kopf in Baumwurzeln", war eines der wichtigsten Klöster des Ayutthaya-Königreichs, nicht nur, weil es das religiöse Zentrum und die Reliquien des Buddha war, sondern auch, weil es ein königliches Kloster war.
"Der heiligste Tempel des alten Ayutthaya". Wat Phra Sri Sanphet war der großartigste und schönste Tempel in der Hauptstadt und diente als Vorbild für Wat Phra Kaew (Tempel des smaragdgrünen Buddha) in Bangkok.
Wat Phu Khao Thong wurde 1569 von Bayinnaung dem Großen von Hantawaddy (heute Teil von Myanmar) zum Gedenken an seinen Sieg über Ayutthaya erbaut und ist eines der beliebtesten Wahrzeichen der antiken Stadt. Besucher können auf den Chedi klettern, um die Schönheit der umliegenden Reisfelder und die Stadt Ayutthaya zu sehen.

Enjoyed our Trip to Ayutthaya Temples. Started with Driver pick up 6.30am from our hotel in an air conditioned comfortable small van total group of 8. With experienced Guide we were taken to 3 sites all significant & stunning on their own. Lunch was local fair & very delicious. I recommend this excellent day out.

We were picked up right on time at our hotel and had a pleasant drive in the van with our group to Ayutthaya. The day we were there, it was unpleasantly warm and humid, but I think it was still worth it. Wear sunscreen. Lunch was great. The ruins were interesting (and sad) and our guide did a good job of explaining the history. I am glad we went with a guide so we could understand better what we were looking at. The ruins are spread out and cover a huge area and multiple sites. I wasn't sure he would, but our guide and driver stopped us right off at our hotel at the end of the tour. It was the night before Songkran, and the water festivities were already on!

If your hotel is located nearby, the van may be able to drop you off directly at your hotel.

I recommend this activity for the following reason: Hotel pick-up highly recommended, and although there's an end drop point, drive and guide go above and beyond by dropping at near to your hotel as possible. Though, return is in Bangkok's intense traffic, I recommend dropping yourself at the nearest MRT or BTS station. Then, each stop is allowed more than enough time to explore with freedom. If you desire more information about what you see, let the guide know, and he will provide you the history. Enjoy

Guide was very detailed in his history of everything, driver was great also. The only problem was bad information about our pickup time..when we originally booked it, time For pickup was 7.00 am. Then the last 3 emails said it was 6.00am.?we tried to get it resolved, but nobody returned our request. So, we missed breakfast and sat outside at 5.55am,.nobody showed up until 6,50..

We had a really good guide on this trip pick up punctually ,very informative ,knowledgable and polite guide. It's abt an hour and a half there and back to the temples so worth bearing in mind for making arrangements afterwards .Nice lunch provided
