So good! I was so happy with this experience - recommended by a close friend in Australia, Viator provided great options and I chose the group transport to Petra Visitor Centre. Very good price and I understand it is very competitive due to lack of tourism currently. Geopolitics make us better travellers! Our driver was amazing, so punctual and amicable. I got joined up with a Japanese gentleman and we enjoyed the trip in silence - wonderful. Sometimes you need to contemplate the landscape only. Our driver provided information regarding many aspects of the experience, very helpful. Highly recommended!!

Petra tickets are not included. Depending on whether you take the regular route or the back door, the time and the level of physical exhaustion will vary. Although I chose the back entrance, it is preferable to watch the shuttle bus to the Cultural Heritage Village and the Jeep departure time to Eddir for approximately 1.5 hours, for a total of 5.5 hours including the sightseeing spots.

A wonderful day. Picked up punctually from the hotel and driven in a clean, comfortable car to Petra. Mahmoud was friendly and gave a lot of useful tips on the way there which maximised my experience. Petra is truly a wonder.

Mahmoud was GREAT. Friendly, attentive, and warm. The tour started sharp on time, car was clean, and gave us plenty of time in Petra. Started 0730 and was back in Amman by 1700. I recommend everyone to do this tour with Mahmoud.

We had a great day touring Petra in Feb2026. We booked through Trip Advisor. I think it's the one titled Full Day Trip to Petra. We purchased the package which included the Petra tickets and saved some time upon arrival. Our driver Khalil was very nice with a nice car and helped us secure a great guide upon arrival. The guide's name is Wasfi and we highly recommend him. His cost was about $70USD. His excellent knowledge and explanation of what we saw enhanced our trip and understanding of the depth and history of Petra and its surroundings. We skipped the Monastery due to lack of time and it seemed to us that to fully do it all, you need to spend two days there. We did see a nice IHG hotel at Petra so if we go back that could be an option. The drive from Amman is about 3 hours and seemed to take forever so bring something to do in the car. There is not much to see along the drive but the vast desert is quite something to behold.

Great day trip to Petra. Faisal was a great driver for the trip, arrived early and picked me up on time at Petra.

We booked a trip from Anmman to Petra. The driver kept in contact with by text so he picked us up from the hotel. Petra is a three hour drive we had a comfort stop half way. On arrival at Petra our driver allowed us as much time as we needed and just to text him when we wanted to be picked up. This enhanced the trip as we were not clock watching all day as you can never be sure how long it takes walking back up the hill The journey back was very similar to that going. Also I had accidentally left a cable in the car and it was returned to the hotel without any fuss. Our driver was Mahmoud and was excellent
