Volterra und San Gimignano: ein Vorgeschmack auf die mittelalterliche Toskana!

My husband and I visited Italy for our honeymoon and this was probably our favorite activity we did! We stayed in Pisa and were picked up by the most amazing driver/guide, Giuliano! He introduced me to my first pistachio croissant and I was fully addicted the rest of our trip. I loved learning about what it's liked to live there and other fun facts you probably wouldn't learn on a typical walking tour. He is also an amazing singer :) Volterra and San Gimagnano were both beautiful towns and not crowded at all compared to the larger cities, which was a nice change of pace. They are also smaller enough where you don't feel rushed visiting both in one day. Also, if you have the opportunity to get lunch at a vineyard between the two towns, you HAVE to! The views were incredible and so was the wine. If we're ever back in Italy, we'll definitely book an activity with through this company and hopefully with Giuliano again!

Beautiful day in the countryside of Tuscany. Our driver Guliano was prompt, driving a clean comfortable van. He provided us with lots of information, and was kind, funny, and considerate throughout. We enjoyed va detour to see opera singer Andre Bocelli's hometown and summer concert venue. Definitely agree to pay extra for the wine tasting and lunch. Truly special!

The driver was super polite and careful ! He told us all the local legends and stories about the regions we visited. In addition, the driver mentioned to us which places are good for visiting/eating. In some places we even got discounts because people knew him. I would highly recommend this trip !

The communes of Volterra and San Gimignano are two cities that sweat the medieval air with their picturesque buildings and characteristics that give both a special charm. It is an unforgettable visit!

We came to Livorno on an NCL cruise. My husband booked for the 5 of us to take a tour and it was fabulous!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Make My Day. Our guide was very kind, and made our trip so enjoyable. He kept us entertained and well informed about the various areas we visited. We went to beautiful Volterra, and then had a wonderful lunch at the most charming winery, we then finished our day in San Gimignano. Perfect tour. Book it, you won't regret it!! We had a lovely time in Volterra and San Gimignano! The driver was very polite, answered all the questions we had and gave interesting insights about the cities. Would definitely recommend!

We arrived Livorno by cruise ship and Giuliano was waiting for us nice and early at the port. It was super easy to find him and we didn't have any problem communicating with him prior to the trip. The car was comfortable, very clean and Giuliano kept us entertain throughout the journey to Siena by giving us info and interesting things about the Tuscany area. Once we finished visiting Siena we were taken to a nice winery for waste tasting and lunch, which my family enjoyed very much! We then visited San Gimignano in the afternoon and it was such a beautiful place. Giuliano got us back to the port in good time and we found the whole experience very pleasant. I would highly recommend booking shore excursion with Make My Day In Italy as it was such good value and you won't be disappointed.

I booked this trip independently of the cruise line, and it was a perfect day! Giuliano picked us up at the terminal with no problem. We drove to Volterra, and were practically there alone in the beautiful walled city. We did a brief tour of the Rossi Alabastri studio and shop, with a marvelous demonstration was great. We did buy a few things that were small enough to pack. Then we walked around Volterra, which for those of you who don't know, means you are safe from vampires in this town. Guiliano pointed us in the direction of a beautiful vantage point, which we would have surely missed. It overlooked the rolling hills of Tuscany. The weather was cloudy with bits of rain, but it was still lovely. Then we went a short distance to a small privately owned winery- Corbucci, which was an optional stop during the booking process. I would highly recommend it. The lunch was delicious and the introduction with tasting of the wines was memorable. San Gimigniano was last stop. Very unique Tuscan town. It is featured in several films, and did not disappoint. Guillano was an excellent tour guide, providing history and information along the way. It was a pleasure to be his first tour of the 2025 season!! thank you

We had a fun day exploring Tuscany with our private driver Guliano, and experiencing the best of the countryside. We were given the chance to have lunch at a beautiful family farm near San Gimignano, which was the highlight of the trip. We especially enjoyed Volterra, as it is much less touristy than much of Tuscany. Guliano has a lovely car and speaks very good English, and was very proud to show off his home.
