Die Geschichte von Maârif reicht bis ins Jahr 1914 zurück, als drei englische Händler beschlossen, ein großes Stück Land zu erwerben und es aufzuteilen. Diese Ausländer registrierten ihr Eigentum, im Gegensatz zu den Bewohnern der Nachbarschaft, die ihr Land einfach mit einer niedrigen Mauer ohne Landtitel umgaben.
Die Kirche Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes ist eine katholische Pfarrkirche in Casablanca, Marokko. Sie wurde 1954 von Achille Dangleterre und dem Ingenieur Gaston Zimmer[1] erbaut und ist die zweite Kirche in Casablanca[2] nach der Sacré-Cœur-Kirche, die heute nicht mehr für Gottesdienste genutzt wird.

Der Bezirk Habous entwickelte sich während des französischen Protektorats[1], hauptsächlich in den 1920er bis 1930er Jahren, um mehrere Händlerfamilien aus verschiedenen Regionen Marokkos zu beherbergen. Diese Migrationsbewegung wird durch die Politik von Marschall Lyautey verursacht, der die Wohngebiete der Europäer und der Marokkaner trennen möchte[3].

The tour is 3-3.5 hours (not the advertised 5-6 hours) The driver was very good and knowledgeable. Too bad the market is closed on Fridays
