Spending a year in the U.S. Virgin Islands was honestly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The islands are breathtaking — from the clear blue waters of St. Thomas to the peaceful beaches of St. John and the cultural charm of St. Croix. Every day felt like a new adventure, whether snorkeling, hiking, or just relaxing by the ocean.
First, Max was terrific to deal with, being very communicative and clear about arrangements and prices up front. Then our adult children said the tour was absolutely terrific (thanks to Austrian Airlines, my wife and I arrived too late) and continued to quote comments from their tour with Max throughout the rest of our stay in Rome and Italy. He did a great job and I would highly recommend reaching out to Max for your next trip to Rome.
Max made our trip full of memories that will last a lifetime…. From covering all the sites we requested plus some and his great insights on the city of Rome…. The only way to see Rome…. Thank you again!
Max came highly recommended from several friends from Texas who had used him as a private guide in Rome. My friend told me, “There are many things to see in Rome, but the only advice I will give you is to hire Max.” Max took my family on a full day tour of Rome including the fountains, plazas, catacombs, private lunch at an authentic (not touristy) restaurant along the Appian Way, the Roman forum and (of course) an arena access tour of the Colosseum. After only a few minutes, my wife, kids and I had all bonded with him. We laughed and joked our way through the tour and he was also extremely knowledgeable and informative. We then did another half day tour of the Vatican with him and my family all remarked to each other how happy we were to “have Max” - watching the other tourists waiting in line while Max navigated the crowds to the front of the line. We were genuinely sad to part with him after the second day. If we could’ve used him everywhere we went in Italy, we would have! As truly not all guides are so knowledgeable and at the same time personable. Max is our Roman Family now.
We booked a half day golf cart tour and so glad we did! We only had one full day in Rome & wanted to see as many of the sights as we could and Andrew was a superb guide! Only way to see Rome, especially in the summer. Andrew picked us up at the hotel promptly at 9:30 and took us all over the city and dropped us off at the Colosseum at 1:30 and had our pre-purchased tickets for us. We went to the Catacombs, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Circus Maximus, Villa Borghese Gardens and more, with Andrew pointing out sights and giving us history along the way. We even had time to stop for gelato! A really great tour, I highly recommend!
We booked a private tour for tour thru Sophisticated Italy. They contracted with Max (Fabio Leotta Driving and Guide Service) to provide our tour. When Max arrived with his car and driver the tour got off to a bad start when he asked us what tour were we going on today. Not a good sign. Our tour was scheduled to be the Coliseum, the Roman Forum and Capitoline Hill. Max seemed to be having a bad day for some reason and the Max we got was not the Max in all the other reviews for this company. He had nothing prepared for the coliseum or Roman Forum walking tours. There were no pictures or overlays of current ruins and what the Coliseum and forum looked like in its prime. There were no stories of what it was like to be at the Coliseum or Roman Forum. There was lots of talk about different things about Rome but only 50% focus on the purpose of the tour, We were expecting something great after we had two other excellent tours of both the Vatican and Crypts and Catacombs We never made it to Capitoline Hill. Only realized this was part of the Sophisticated Italy tour when I began writing this review, Visited Capitoline Hill later in our week in Rome and it was fantastic We also never made it to the newer (Caeser) part of the Forum. We paid a premium price for this tour and did not get our money's worth. Positives of the tour. Max arrived on time and we had very little wait to get into the Coliseum. Vehicle was also very comfortable and he pointed out many sights in Rome during our drive.
Our first visit was a half day of highlights and we fell in love with Rome. Our second visit included an in depth visit to St Peter's, the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel and was a full of a lifetime of memories. On our last visit Max took us out of Rome to Villa d'Este and Tivoli Gardens, his favorite restaurant and many other "off the beaten path" locales. We look forward to a return to Rome an a chance for Max to renew our love affair with the city.
Our family of four (adult children) spent three days on excursions in and around the city of Rome. Max is terrific to work with and his guides are very knowledgeable, personable and very accommodating. The full day of seeing Rome by golf cart was a highlight. This was our second opportunity to schedule tours with Max while we were vacationing in Italy and we weren't disappointed.
I took a 6 hour golf cart tour of Rome with 2 sons (on Father's Day) with Victor (Vittorio) of Max Leotta's Tours and it could not have been more fun and exciting! He was a wonderful guide and able to show us so much over those 6 hours as we zipped along streets, pedestrian zones and alleyways in the golf cart. The best way to see Rome and worth every penny. Grazie mille Vittorio!
We were looking for a golf cart tour and came across Max Leotta of MyBestTour. Communication with him and setting up the tour before we arrived was prompt and professional. We had Frabrizio as our guide for the half day tour. It was so much fun having him take us to places where we probably would not have ventured into given the limited time we had in Rome. Our hotel was centrally located at the Spanish steps, so we ventured away from the usual sights and went of the beaten path, Appian Way, Catacombs, Aventine Hill, Borghese Gardens and then some. At the end of the tour, Fabrizio recommended the best pasta place for us to have a quick lunch! We highly recommend this company and the golf cart tour.
