Der Berg der 7 Farben oder Rainbow Mountain (Regenbogenberg) oder besser bekannt unter den Einheimischen als Cerro Colorado, befindet sich in Vinicunca, Provinz Quipicanchis, Departement Cusco. Seine geologischen Formationen offenbaren im Gegensatz zum blauen Himmel ihre ganze Pracht und bilden eine beeindruckende Barriere zwischen der Küstenwüste und dem Amazonas-Dschungel. Die Vinicunca-Berge sind einer der spektakulärsten Orte in der Vilcanota-Bergkette und warten auf eine natürliche Färbung. Diese Färbung ist auf das Vorhandensein von Sedimentsteinen in Erosion zurückzuführen. Beeindruckend ist, wie die Steine zu einem Set aus sieben Farben geformt wurden. Die Höhe des Berges beträgt etwa 5.000 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel. Vinincunca oder Berg der sieben Farben, ist eine der großen Attraktionen, die Sie auf Ihrer Reise nach Peru nicht verpassen sollten, es ist in der Liste der 100 Orte auf der Welt enthalten, die Sie besuchen müssen, bevor Sie sterben. Reiseverlauf
Die Stadt Cusipata wird unser obligatorischer Halt sein, um unser Frühstücksbuffet zu genießen, und auch am Nachmittag wird es der Ort für das Mittagessen sein.
REISEPLAN Das Abenteuer beginnt zwischen 4:00 Uhr morgens. M. und 4:30 Uhr Zu diesem Zeitpunkt holt Sie unser Transporter an Ihrer Unterkunft ab. Anschließend fahren wir in die Stadt Cusipata Gegen 6:30 Uhr kommen wir in Cusipata an, wo wir ein Frühstücksbuffet genießen werden. Nach dem Frühstück beginnen wir mit dem Aufstieg über einen gemeinschaftlichen Feldweg, bis wir eine Höhe von 4.800 Metern erreichen. Anschließend beginnen wir eine Wanderung auf einem 3 km langen Wanderweg. Unterwegs werden Sie Landschaften voller Flora und Fauna der Anden genießen. Nach und nach erscheint das bunte Gebirgsgeflecht, bis Sie den Aussichtspunkt auf 5.000 Metern Höhe erreichen. Dann steigen wir auf dem gleichen Weg ab, besteigen unser Fahrzeug und steigen nach Cusipata ab. Hier genießen Sie ein köstliches Mittagessen und kehren dann in die Kaiserstadt Cusco zurück. Am Ende der Mountain of Colours-Tour kehren Sie nach Cusco zurück, wo Sie unser Transport in die Innenstadt bringt (ca. 16:30 Uhr).

Everything was great, Dora and Renato were very kind, they picked us up at our accommodation, helped us with everything, and were always attentive.
Really great tour. Freddie our guide was so lovely, funny and knowledgeable. He was very attentive and made sure everyone was ok. He also on the way back showed us a different route down which was beautiful. 100% recommend!!
Challenge completed. Excellent tour, walking uphill to the 5036 meters of height of the Vinicunca rainbow mountain and then 100 more meters to contemplate the Red Valley. The journey, walking slowly and with pauses, is achievable. While you can choose to do it on horseback or an ATV (the last part requires ascending steep stairs), I chose to walk to slowly take in the entire landscape. Bring coca leaves and floral water; it will help you with altitude sickness. Although the day was sunny, it is still necessary to dress warmly. Don't miss the Red Valley; beautiful views await you.
The guide Dora was kind, attentive, and explained everything regarding the history of the Mountain of Seven Colors. She also kept an eye on each of the hikers. Great experience

Everything went perfectly, punctual and precise, and the place is wonderful.
Freddie is a nice guy. Pick up was prompt. He informed me how to get to the Red Valley and when to be back in the parking lot. I stuck to the schedule but someone else didn't. And so all the rest of us ended up wasting time. Breakfast and lunch were both at the same restaurant - buffet style. Quality and quantity of food were both very good.
Excellent experience! Our guide Hilthon shared us about the culture of Cusco and taught us many interesting things, took care to keep the group together and always kept an eye on us being okay, definitely made the experience even more wonderful! The mountain of 7 colors or Vinikunka is extraordinary, and all the landscapes around it beautiful, the trekking is worth 100%, and our tour included breakfast and lunch, plus the trekking poles to support us. I would recommend it to everyone!!
Fredi and Carlos are the best tour guides in all of Peru. If you are coming to Peru please do yourself a favor and book with them
I would not use this tour operator because we got the confirmation for 4:30am but the operator later stated via email that they would pick us up 30 minutes earlier which wasn’t in the confirmation or description. When we tried to contact them asking where are they said that we missed the pick up and would have to double pay for a taxi to get on the tour.
