A fun and informative tour with great food and wine. Aurora is a fantastic guide who is knowledgeable and considerate.
Thank you so so much 🌸 for your amazing words…. It means a lot for us! Take care guys all the best
We arranged a private tour with Virginia….. we did a 2 hour walking tour of Verona and then a fantastic drive into the Valpolicella region for a wonderful lunch and wine tasting at a private winery. Every part of the winery’s offerings from bread, cheese, olive oil, entree to wine were all fabulous. The experience was exceptional and enjoyed by the group. I highly recommend booking through them… thank you Virginia for a memorable day!!!
Thank you so so much for this wonderful words! It means a lot for me and our small team… take care guys! Have a great life! Virginia of romeoandjulietguide
Aurora was an amazing guide . Very knowledgeable and friendly . We learnt so much about Verona thanks to her
thank you so so much lady for sharing this amazing words we really work hard to try to deliver a nice experience take care
Great guide, spoke great English - good choice of cafes and restaurants - very knowledgeable and answered all our questions
thank you sooo much guys for sharing this nice review. it's been a pleasure meeting you,all the best virginia
Every time I arrive to a new city, first thing I do is book a food tour. I had one in Aruba, Thailand, Mexico City, Venice, Milan and Verona. And the one in Verona was the worst by far. It is grossly misleading and misrepresentative. I would call it History tour of Verona with snacks not food tour. If I wanted history tour of Verona, I would have booked one for 40$. And when I book a food tour I expect food to be the main aspect of it! The guide of the tour Aurora was very sweet, knowledgeable, friendly and personable but the food part of the tour was absolutely atrocious. You get rice pastry, focaccia, two red wine tastings with cheese and salami, THERE WAS NO SIT DOWN DINNER AT TRATTORIA instead we stopped by at some fast food pasta place where they served overcooked ravioli and then there was gelato stop. There was one review where an older gentlemen addresses same concerns saying that after paying 130$ he left hungry, to which instead of apologizing to him and thanking him for his feedback he was scolded with very snarky remarks saying:" this is not an all you can eat buffet! What are you nuts expecting a full meal for 130$!" This tour felt like a tourist trap and a sham. Again, nothing to do with the guide but with whoever put it together. I didn't feel like those food selections were representative of the region. I went to a bunch of restaurants and asked for local cuisine recommendations and they were amazing! So, you decide if this nonsense is worth your hard earned 130$ in this economy.
we are very sorry to hear that. we won as "the best local experience 2023-2024-2025" with this tour and for sure we are not a " touristic trap" . YOU CAN NOT EVEN IMAGINE HOW HARD WE WORK TO ALWAYS PROVIDE GREAT EXPERIENCES AND STAY OPEN EVERY DAY .. WE ARE A VERY SMALL BOUTIQUE AGENCY . we are really very very SORRY to hear THE TOUR was not to your liking, but this kind of OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE is never acceptable in my modest opinion, especially towards people like us who work day and night to try to develop their own business. we always try to do the best we can. somethings we do sometimes we don't . BUT your words are really disrespectful and aggressive in my opinion. is " just a tour".. made by local people who did their best. BTW: the TORTELLI you had for lunch are from LA BOTTEGA DELLA GINA RESTAURANT. i write down the name, so other people can google it and see what all people think about this place... it's one of the BEST in verona.. and has only 5 stars.. so again, we tried to give you the best .. ( in our modest opinion) . we always appreciate feedbacks, good and not in order to always improve the service. is just the way to tell things that really can change a lot the position.... have a great life all the best
A brilliant way to experience the food, wine and history of Verona. Our guide Diana was amazing and we covered so much ground despite it being 31 degrees. A really fun experience which is a must if you visit Verona.
Thank you so much for your lovely words it means a lot for us!! Take care guys and enjoy the end of your vacation! All our best
We really enjoyed our tour with Aurora. She was very friendly and spoke English very well. There were 6 of us, so it was a nice small group, which we enjoyed talking with. She took us around the city and showed us some spots that you would not see as a normal tourist. I enjoyed talking with Aurora as we walked and learning more about the culture. Our food stops included coffee and a pastry unique to Verona, a candy shop where we got a free sample, lunch which included a choice of two pastas with wine, a wine shop with a local wine tasting, cheese, and meat, and lastly Gelato. The wine tasting presentation was very interesting! We ended the tour by taking the funicular to the top of the city, where we had the most amazing views.
Thank you so much for your lovely words it means a lot for us!! Take care guys and ciao from Verona
I was initially booked to do the tour a different day but it was cancelled due to the weather. Fair enough, no one really wants to walk around in the pouring rain, but I didn't get told it had been cancelled. Viator actually sent the usual reminder about the start time etc. The info on Viator also sends you to the wrong meeting location - just on the adjacent corner, but wrong enough for you to miss it! Having stood waiting for over 20mins, I messaged the activity provider on the number provided. They confirmed I was in the wrong place and gave me another number for the guide. The guide was very lovely and helpful, informed me the tour was cancelled and offered me a spot that afternoon or the next morning. She was very apologetic about the mix up and suggested the notification fault was with Viator's system. I joined the next morning with Aurora. She's also very lovely, but perhaps lacking in confidence a little as there were several times we were just stood there waiting for her to say something else or move us on. Luckily, it was quite a chatty group which helped to keep up the momentum. The walking route is ok, but could probably cover a wider area in the time. Aurora's knowledge of the area is good and she gave interesting explanations of the history. It was also useful to be able to save the funicular ticket for another day. Although, it's worth noting the ticket is only €2 to buy yourself and shouldn't really be a "selling point" in the tour description. The food stops were all pretty tasty - especially the lunch and wine tasting - but I think it's less generous than tours I've done in other European cities. Overall, a nice introduction to Verona with some tasty food, but a little lacking for the price point. I would recommend shopping around a bit to see if there are more reasonably priced options.
I am sorry lady you didn’t enjoy the tour so much.. we appreciate your feedbacks and we will do our best to keep a high level and quality of our tours. All the best
This was a fun and interesting tour. Our guide, Aurora, was awesome! She was very knowledgeable about the history and the entire area. She gave us a fantastic food and wine experience in such cute places. And you know Aurora was fantastic because it was pouring rain and we still had a great time walking all over the city!
First stop a local lemon rice cake , which was nice, next stop focaccia bread, not the best, lunch then, three choices of average pasta and a small glass of wine, then wine tasting, two tiny glasses of red, but a nice board of cheese and meat Ice cream next, lovely! Here we were left by our host( who was very nice, and showed us some of the sights) at the venicular with a single ticket to go up- I’m 70yrs old and found coming down the steps very tricky to say the least. I have been on many food tours, Best was in Rome, where every food sample in the shops was a delight, and the worst?Barbados by a mile 😂 This tour I would place somewhere in between, we passed a fantastic out door market selling incredible meats and cheese, a stop and a few bits there would have been good. 2 small reds for a wine tasting is just not good enough, especially when there are some excellent whites too. Make the stops a little more exiting, more wine in the tasting, and a return on the tram, those are my recommendations
thank you so much for sharing your feedback. the market you saw is PIAZZA ERBE and it only for souvenirs , unfortunately is NOT about any food. in our tour we do 5 food stops with 3 glasses of wine, and AMARONE WINE docg included ! you went at the TRATTORIA DUE MORI which is considered one of the BEST LOCAL RESTAURANTS IN VERONA.. all clients get really impressed about what they receive for only 95 euros... considering that only a guide takes 70-.80 euros per hour--- so we feel very very sorru for your impression. anyway we appreciate all feedbacks and we will make our best to improve our tours. our best regards
