Unsere umfassende Tour durch das Zentrum von Braga ist eine Gelegenheit, die reiche Kultur und Aromen dieser historischen Stadt zu erkunden. Der Arco da Porta Nova ist einer der Eingänge zum historischen Zentrum der Stadt und befindet sich am Largo da Porta Nova. Ursprünglich war es eines der mittelalterlichen Tore der Mauer, die die Bevölkerung verteidigte. Von diesem Punkt aus wird der Treffpunkt festgelegt und unsere Tour durch die Innenstadt beginnt.
Sé de Braga liegt im Herzen des historischen Zentrums der Stadt und ist die älteste Kathedrale des Landes. Es ist auch eines der bedeutendsten religiösen Gebäude der Iberischen Halbinsel. Inspiriert von der romanischen Architektur der Abtei von Cluny in Burgund wurde die Kathedrale im Jahr 1089 geweiht, als die Arbeiten noch nicht abgeschlossen waren. In den folgenden Jahrhunderten wurde die Kathedrale von Braga mehrmals umgebaut und erweitert, was erklärt, warum das Gebäude ein architektonischer Flickenteppich ist.
Der Jardim de Santa Bárbara ist einer der meistbesuchten öffentlichen Gärten in Braga. Es ist bekannt für seine Geometrie und seine Farben, die von den darin gepflanzten Blumen herrühren. Er wird Jardim de Santa Bárbara genannt, da sich in der Mitte ein Brunnen aus dem 17. Jahrhundert befindet, der an der Spitze des Brunnens von Santa Bárbara dargestellt wird. In den allermeisten portugiesischen Städten liegt der edelste bzw. zentralste Bereich der Stadt in der „Innenstadt“. Dies ist in Braga nicht der Fall. In Braga treffen sich jeden Morgen in Arcada die ältesten und erfahrensten Einwohner, um Kontakte zu knüpfen und aktuelle Nachrichten zu kommentieren.
Museu dos Biscainhos, Teil des Palácio dos Biscainhos, einst ein Adelshaus aus dem 17. Jahrhundert. XVII. Es ist ein Barockpalast mit großen Räumen und raffinierter Ausstattung. Dieser Palast zeigt die Architektur der Zeit, grandios, handwerklich gefertigt, gepflegt und immer mit Funktionalität verbunden. Dieser Palast verfügt über einen majestätischen Garten, den wir als Ort gewählt haben, um die Erfahrung der Verkostung verschiedener Weinsorten mit einem einzigartigen und lokalen Stil (Vinho Verde) zu machen und in die authentischen Aromen von Minho einzutauchen.

This was a fabulous tour. A combination of history, food, and wine. I learned about the Roman, Moorish, and Portuguese history of the area along with the passion for local vinticulture and food.

EN The tour was horrible and we felt ripped off. The guide who visited us said that he was a sommelier but that taking tours was his passion, but he didn't know anything about the places. At each stop on the tour he did not explain the history, he took us around the city for two hours, he entered the cathedral without telling us anything inside, he pointed out the relevant sites and left without giving more details. For a tour done in Braga, a city that rains a lot, I did not have an alternative plan in case of rain to be able to do the tasting. He took us to the Roman ruins where he left us alone for 20 minutes and we wandered around abandoned. And then we had to wait on the street again for another 30 minutes until we could enter the place where the wine tasting was done. (Thank goodness it wasn't raining at that time!!) At the tasting, 3 wines were presented in which he mentioned very little about them, we could have done more and better things with the wines such as observation, smell or a more detailed test, but he didn't do that either, he only commented on them. In short, we felt cheated by the price of the tour, since we did not have either the cultural part or the wine part in good conditions. Nothing professional for the value you pay, you expect a tour of better quality and preparation in every way --------- ES El tour fue horrible y nos sentimos estafadas. El guía que nos hizo la visita dijo que era somelier pero que hacer tours era su pasión, pero no sabía nada de los sitios. A cada parada del tour no explicaba la historia, nos dio vueltas por la ciudad durante dos horas, nos entró en la catedral sin contarnos nada dentro, señalaba los sitios relevantes y se iba sin dar más detalles. Para ser un tour echo en Braga, una ciudad que llueve mucho, no tenía un plan alternativo en caso de lluvia para poder hacer la cata. Nos llevó a las ruinas romanas donde nos dejó solas durante 20 minutos y estuvimos dando vueltas abandonadas. Y luego tuvimos que volver a esperar en la calle otros 30 minutos hasta que pudimos entrar al sitio donde se hizo la prueba de vinos. (Menos mal que en ese momento no llovía!!) En la cata fueron presentados 3 vinos en los que contó muy poco de ellos, podríamos haber hecho más cosas y mejor con los vinos como la observación, el olor o una prueba más detallada, pero tampoco lo hizo, sólo los comentó. En resumen, nos sentimos estafadas por el precio que tiene el tour, ya que no tuvimos ni la parte cultural ni la parte de vinos en buenas condiciones. Nada profesional por el valor que se paga esperas un tour de mejor calidad y preparación en todos los sentidos

Our sommelier, Bruno, was so kind, and a fantastic tour guide. We learned so much, not only about the beautiful city of Braga but of the wines of the region. We could feel his passion as we sat and learned about wine and ate food he prepared to pair with the wine like we were with an old friend. I highly recommend him as a guide and look forward to touring a vineyard with him on our next visit to Braga!
At the end of our summer vacation, my family and I booked the city tour with wine tasting and we really, really enjoyed it. Bruno is super friendly and told us lots of interesting things about Braga and even more about wine (especially Vinho Verde). The wine tasting takes place in a very beautiful garden after the city tour and they really think of everything (food, very tasty wines, water, refreshing towels...). I would definitely like to repeat the afternoon!
It’s was a pleasure to be part of this experience. Bruno is a super nice, friendly and openminded man who has a lot of knowledge about the city of Braga and the wines. He offered an extraordinary service with really good wines and snacks. He presented us the vines in a very private and secluded place and everyone who was walking by the garden was fascinated and wished to be part!
