Our tour guide was kind, knowledgeable, and very thorough. We truly enjoyed the tour! Even though it wasn’t peak season, there were still many people — a reminder of just how remarkable this place is. This tour is a must for anyone who appreciates history and art; you don’t need to be Catholic to take in the Vatican’s grandeur and beauty. The Sistine Chapel is breathtaking — far beyond what any photo or history book can capture. Standing in the same space where Michelangelo and his peers once worked was truly awe-inspiring. Afterward, take some time to decompress with an Aperol Spritz and let it all sink in. 🍊✨ Do note, NO PHOTOS ALLOWED IN THE SISTINE CHAPEL. Private guides are very protective and will call you out in addition to pointing you out to security.

Our tour experience of the Vatican museum and was great! Alex gave us a very informative tour infused with his sense of humor. He made sure that everyone understood the directions and procedures and patiently answered our questions. This was our second tour of the museum and we learned even more than the first one. Alex is passionate about the history and is very respectful the Church. Thank you !

Our tour guide was absolutely excellent. Extremely knowledgeable and had a very pleasant personality. Good luck finding the meeting location! It is on a tiny obscure street in the middle of a hundred small obscure streets. The actual tour was 3 hours and a ton of steps, so be ready. Sadly you can only stand in the Sistine Chapel for exactly 7 minutes then you are moved out. I understand that they must move a lot of people through there but you will feel very rushed and its shoulder to shoulder! It's just an amazing place but you need to have days to see it and be ready to stand a LONG time. Skipping the lines was the way to go however.

Visiting the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel with this skip-the-line tour was one of the best decisions i made during our trip to Rome. The experience was smooth from start to finish, and honestly, it’s completely worth it for the fast entry alone. Watching hundreds of people waiting outside in the long queue while i walked straight in felt like such a relief—i saved so much valuable time that i was able to use exploring instead of standing around.The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and explained the history and details in a way that was easy to follow and very engaging. I especially appreciated the use of headsets, which made it possible to hear every word clearly even in the busy museum halls. Highly recommended!!

Too much pre-tour lecture and very little actual tour time in the Vatican. Spent almost 45 minutes in front of the pictures of the Sistine Chapel in the courtyard, but were rushed through the building exhibits like cattle.

The crowds outside were intense, but we walked straight in thanks to our reserved entry. Inside, our guide made the massive collection manageable and fascinating. Seeing the Sistine Chapel with fresh eyes and context was a highlight of our entire trip. Worth every cent.

Tour operator tried to reschedule evening prior to the 8:00 AM tour. This would conflict with other plans that we had made. When we informed them of this they told us it was too late to cancel, so take it or get charged.

The guide was supposed to be an English guide but it was very difficult to understand him. He was nice but he rushed us around and we didn’t have enough time to really see much of the Vatican museum. There were places we wanted to go that we couldn’t stay long enough.

On our arrival in Rome we discovered at the office that we are not longer booked at 1030 and instead had been changed to 1215. We booked this as part of our cruise experience about 3-4 months ago. The tour office said they had tried to call us TWO days before our arrival that it had now be changed!! They were unable to contact us because we were at sea. We were utterly deverstated as we could not make the 1215 Guided Tour because of getting back to our ship. When we were in the office another couple next to us were experiencing the same issue. They only thing they could offer us at 1030 was an un Guided tour, which we had to accept. This option was way cheaper, but we requested a refund they said we would need to speak to TripAdvisor. We took the unguided Tour around the Vatican museum, but was pointless and meaningless without a guide to point things out! This is totally unacceptable and it is not what we would expect from TripAdvisor. They need to speak with the Tour operator and find out what when wrong!!
