Balangan Beach ist einer der beliebtesten und landschaftlich schönsten Strände Balis. Er besteht aus einem wunderschönen, halben Kilometer langen Abschnitt mit goldenem Sand, der zwischen bewachsenen Kalksteinfelsen und einem Riff mit einer der längsten Pausen für Linkshänder auf der Insel liegt. Dieses Surfparadies zieht Wellenreiter aus der ganzen Welt an, die den größten Teil der südwestlichen Bukit-Küste gemeinsam mit Balangans Schwesterferien Dreamland, Impossibles, Padang Padang, Suluban und Uluwatu weiter südlich genießen.
Der Uluwatu-Tempel oder Pura Luhur Uluwatu, einer der sechs wichtigsten Tempel, von denen angenommen wird, dass sie Balis spirituelle Säulen sind, ist bekannt für seine großartige Lage auf einer steilen Klippe, die sich etwa 70 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel befindet. Dieser Tempel teilt auch die herrlichen Sonnenuntergangshintergründe wie der Tanah-Lot-Tempel, ein weiterer wichtiger Seetempel an der Westküste der Insel. Pura Luhur Uluwatu ist definitiv einer der besten Orte auf der Insel, um den Sonnenuntergang zu genießen, mit direktem Blick auf den wunderschönen Indischen Ozean und täglichen Kecak-Tanzvorführungen. Balinesische Architektur, traditionell gestaltete Tore und antike Skulpturen tragen zum Reiz des Uluwatu-Tempels bei.
Der Kecak-Tanz, oder "Tari Kecak", ist eine faszinierende traditionelle balinesische Kunstperformance, die auch als "Affengesangstanz" und lockerer "Feuertanz" für den gelegentlichen Einsatz von Feuer als Mittelstück verwendet wird. Der Kecak wurde um 1930 kreiert und ist heute international als einer der drei bekanntesten Tänze Balis anerkannt (neben Barong und Legong). Der Kecak-Tanz ist insofern einzigartig, als er keinen anderen musikalischen Hintergrund oder eine Begleitung hat als das Singen männlicher Tänzer, die während des größten Teils der Aufführung einen polyrhythmischen „Keh-Chack“ -Chor intonieren. Die Geschichte von Kecak stammt aus dem Ramayana-Hindu-Epos und steht häufig auf dem Unterhaltungsprogramm fast aller balinesischen Kunst- und Kulturveranstaltungen.

We had an amazing afternoon with Buddy from ForeverVacation on the Uluwatu & Kecak Dance Tour. Buddy was knowledgeable, welcoming, and made the drive enjoyable by sharing stories about Bali and its traditions. Uluwatu Temple was breathtaking, especially with the stunning ocean views at sunset. The Kecak Dance was unlike anything we’ve ever seen and was the perfect way to end the evening. Buddy made sure we had the best spots for photos and looked after us every step of the way. Dharma picked us up at our hotel and drove us to Uluwatu temple where he gave us a tour and educated us about the religious traditions and culture of the Balinese people. He helped us manage the mischievous monkeys who will quickly grab your glasses or cell phone. He gave us water and escorted us to the arena for a wonderful Kecak dance performance based on the Ramayana epic at the heart of the Hindu religion. It was great fun and a wonderful experience!

This tour was the perfect opportunity to experience the local culture, food, and beach! Aprio was our guide for the day and he even took us to some local shops to get small things and wine. The price was perfect to cover all of our expenses for the places we visited. We even had the best spot to watch the dance and it wasn't too crowded. Thank you to the team for a wonderful time!

The Kecak dance was a wonderful cultural experience and a highlight of our time in Bali. The performance was powerful, engaging, and truly unique. Tourist trap I don’t recommend, we could barely watch the dance, going on the top of the statue to see nothing. Unfortunately a tremendous waist of our time.

We just wanted to clarify that based on what you described, it seems you might have joined a different tour provider. For your reference, our Uluwatu Tour itinerary does not include a visit to Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) or the top of the statue. Our tour focuses on visiting Uluwatu Temple and enjoying the famous Kecak Fire Dance performance, which takes place at a cliffside amphitheater overlooking the ocean, a completely different location from GWK. We always aim to provide a clear itinerary before booking, and you can also find detailed descriptions of all our tours on our official website and TripAdvisor page. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and had Mega for 3 different tours. He was the best guide and I highly recommend requesting him if you book with Forever Vacation. This was our final tour with Mega. He is very knowledgeable of the process to get tickets for the dance so we don’t have to stress at all. He gave us an informative tour of the temple and explained the culture to us as well as the various aspects of the temple. He waited for us after the dance was over so we didn’t get lost in the sea of people. He also always has water available for you and will make sure you are well hydrated. We greatly enjoyed our time with Mega. He was a joy to be around and made sure we were well taken care of. We miss him already!
