Verlassen Sie den Hafen für eine malerische Fahrt nach Paleokastritsa und halten Sie unterwegs an, um einige der traditionellen Geschmäcker der Insel zu probieren. Hausgemachtes Olivenöl, lokaler Wein, Ouzo und das immer beliebte Limoncello warten darauf, Ihre Geschmacksknospen zu verwöhnen! Probieren Sie unbedingt die Kumquat, eine würzige Zitrusfrucht, die 1846 aus China nach Korfu gebracht wurde. Weiterfahrt zum Paleokastritsa-Kloster, einem großen byzantinischen Komplex, der der Jungfrau Maria gewidmet ist. Dieses Kloster aus dem 12. Jahrhundert liegt auf einem Felsvorsprung und ist von allen Seiten sichtbar und bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Insel und das Meer. In der Umgebung können Sie ein Boot besteigen und die nahe gelegenen Höhlen von Paleokastritsa (15 Euro nicht inbegriffen). Von dort aus gelangen Sie in die Altstadt Korfus mit ihrer berühmten griechischen, venezianischen, Französischen und britischen Architektur. Genießen Sie hier etwas Freizeit, um die alten, engen Gassen zu erkunden und die Highlights wie den Spianada Square, Liston und die Alte Festung zu sehen, bevor Sie zum Hafen zurückkehren.

Wonderful tour guide Katarina! And such a beautiful location. Though the group started somewhat larger than we prefer for a small group, we split up in two groups for two different activities, which was nice. We stayed with Katarina for a monastery tour instead of a small boat ride because of the wind; she did a very nice short tour of the monastery, which happened to be on a cliff overlooking the beautiful coastline of Corfu. Then we all got together in the nice van and went to old town Corfu; short walk around to see sites then some time to ourselves. A bit more time in old town would have been nice, as it’s a great place for shopping and eating. Again, Katarina was a great guide and Corfu such an exceptional location.

We saw the gorgeous beach and Monastery first, so quiet and peaceful- followed by free time in the Old Town. The tour was supposed to be small group but we must have been the only ones signing up for it and we ended up getting a private very comfortable tour with Xenos ( spelling?). He gave us just enough information without overwhelming. Great day, highly recommend

We did a tailor made private tour of this island. This island is so different than the other islands we visited, it was so green! Our tour guide Angela and our driver Spiros did a great job showing us the sites! We loved every stop and had a great time!
