Ihre Reise beginnt mit einem Besuch des Kumbhalgarh Forts, Heimat der zweitgrößten Mauer der Welt. Dieses im 15. Jahrhundert erbaute majestätische Fort diente einst als strategische Grenze zwischen Mewar und Marwar. 84 km nördlich von Udaipur gelegen, ist Kumbhalgarh nach Chittorgarh die zweitwichtigste Zitadelle in der Mewar Region.
Besuchen Sie Ranakpur, einen der berühmtesten Jain-Tempel, der vom großen Mewar-König Rana Kumbha erbaut wurde. Der Tempel verfügt über 84 unterirdische Kammern, die entworfen wurden, um Jain-Idole vor den Moguln zu schützen. Berühmt ist es für sein aufwendig geschnitztes Parshvanatha-Idol, das aus einer einzigen Marmorplatte geformt wurde und 1.008 Schlangenköpfe und unzählige Schwänze zeigt.

The driver, Prakash, was special highlight - as the drive to Ranakpur temple is challenging by narrow and winding road, he took amazing care and top notch service attitude to make us comfortable. The both fort and temple are worth visiting and opens an usual, off the beaten track view on India great monuments.
