We took the Grand Torino Market Experience-Chef's Extended Market Experience with I Eat Food Tours. Chef Abram provided an excellent tour, with lots of good food and recommendations. He is knowledgeable and entertaining. This was a great tour.
Thank you so much for your kind words! The Grand Torino Market Experience was created for curious travelers who want to go beyond the postcards and discover the daily life, flavors, traditions, and people that make Turin such a fascinating city. That is why hearing that you enjoyed both the food and the stories along the way is especially rewarding. For me, the market is much more than a place to shop. It is one of the best windows into a city’s soul. From historic cafés and local producers to market vendors who have been serving generations of Turinese families, every stop has a story worth telling and a flavor worth remembering. I am delighted that you enjoyed the experience and found it both entertaining and informative. Sharing recommendations is one of my favorite parts of the day because I always hope guests continue exploring Turin long after our adventure together has ended. Thank you again for joining me at Porta Palazzo and through the historic heart of Torino. It was a pleasure spending the morning together, and I hope the memories of the market, the local specialties, and the city itself stay with you for many years to come. Our Turin food tour with Chef Abram wildly exceeded our expectations (and we had high expectations!). Abram was a perfect guide, whose knowledge of and enthusiasm for both Italian food and Turin was above and beyond. We spent several hours eating and making our way through this glorious city. During our journey, we learned so much from Abram—about the place, its food, its history, and its quirks. Every dish we sampled, from start (grazie Ristorante Del Cambio!) to finish (best gelato ever!), with several memorable stops along the way (farinata! focaccia! pizza! Piemontese cheeses and meats!) left us sated, yet still hungry for more (which Abram happily provided). His good cheer, kindness, and knowledge made for a delicious day in Turin.
Oh, wow! Thanks so much! This is exactly why we, both myself and Cecilia, do what we do. Taking you through Porta Palazzo Market and the hidden corners of Turin isn’t about showing places, it’s about sharing a way of living, tasting, and seeing the city through food. And, as a chef myself, I absolutely love this way to introduce Torino to my foodies travellers. From that first moment near Ristorante Del Cambio to the last spoon of gelato, what makes it special is not just what we eat… but how we experience it together. Your curiosity, energy, and appetite made it flow exactly as it should, hence spontaneous, generous, and full of flavor. Next time, we go even deeper. There are still many hidden gems waiting 😉 A big thank you from my side. Cheers, Chef Abram
Chef Abram's food tour in Torino was a lot of fun. My wife and joined the tour that had a group of tourists from NY going as well. We all had a lot of food, drink, conversation and laughs. Chef Abram facilitated a very fun and celebratory atmosphere every step of the way. We tried gelato, vermouth, wine and cheese, focaccia pizza and then ended the tour at a fantastic restaurant where we were served a lot of great food and seemingly endless bottles of wine. What a blast. My wife and I like to do food tours our first night in a town so we can get some suggestions on local food, customs, culture, must-see spots, etc. Chef Abram was full of good advice. The next day we tried a restaurant that Chef Abram recommended (the restaurant wasn't on the tour, he just gave us the advice while walking us around). It ended up being our favorite restaurant in Torino. It is always so great to get good recommendations from somebody in the know than just rolling the dice when deciding what to do and where to eat, and the suggestions Chef Abram had made our stay in Torino so much better. I highly recommend Chef Abram and I Eat Food Tours if you are in Torino!
Ah, what a night! 😄🍷 Thank you so much for this amazing review, it truly means a lot. Hosting you and your wife (along with that lively NY crew!) was such a joy. Good food, good people, good wine… that’s what it’s all about, right? I always try to create a fun, relaxed atmosphere where strangers become friends, and by the sound of it, we nailed it! I’m especially happy to hear you followed one of my local restaurant tips the next day and that it became your Torino favorite. That’s exactly the kind of connection I hope guests take home with them…something real, personal, and delicious. Thanks again for joining me on this Turin food adventure on your first evening in the city. You set the tone with open minds and hungry hearts… and I just brought the food 😉 See you again one day, I hope Thanks for everything. Cheers, Chef Abram
Our first food tour, and it was an amazing experience! Not only is Abram a keen connoisseur of Italian gastronomy and the city of Turin, he is also extremely kind and humorous. We enjoyed these 4 hours (almost 5, even!), it passed too fast! A moment of joy and sharing that we would like to live more often! We hope to meet Cecilia next time; thank you again!!!
Thanks again for choosing our food tour and for this splendid review! (Also, hoping that Google trad did a good job with the translation;) So many Cheers🥂 Abram + Cecilia
This food tour was so much fun. Cecilia was so friendly and took us to some great locations. We started with a coffee and pastry and then went on to have bread and cheese from a local market. We finished with a Turin specialty 'bicerin', which is a delicious chocolate coffee drink. Everywhere we went Cecilia knew the owners/managers and it felt more like visiting friends than a formal tour. I particularly enjoyed trying Gianduja chocolate - another Turin specialty.
Dear Elian, Thank you so much for your lovely review! It was a real joy to share my favorite hidden - and tasteful -corners of Turin with you. The Food and Market Tour is very personal to me, as it reflects the daily routine of locals, including my own! I’m so glad you felt the warmth of the market vendors, café and artisanal local shops’ owners; you said it right: it’s like visiting old friends rather than just stops on a tour. That’s the exact mission. I love introducing my guests and curious palates to Turin’s culinary treasures like gianduja and bicerin, and it makes me so happy to hear that you enjoyed them. I hope you left with not just new flavours but also a deeper connection to our city’s soul! And well, of course with an extra (Italian) food buddy ;) All the best to both of you guys! Love and Bicerin, Cecilia Xx
