Le Jardin Secret ist ein ruhiger historischer Garten im Herzen der Medina versteckt. Erbaut während der Saadier-Dynastie, war es einst ein königlicher Riad und wurde wunderschön restauriert. Heute verfügt es über zwei Gärten – einen islamischen Garten und einen exotischen Garten – gefüllt mit üppigen Pflanzen, Brunnen und traditioneller marokkanischer Architektur, die eine ruhige Flucht vor den belebten Souks bieten.
Der Bahia-Palast, was auf Arabisch Glanz bedeutet, ist vielleicht eine der am besten erhaltenen historischen Stätten und sicherlich die interessanteste in Marrakesch. Dieser weitläufige Palast wurde zwischen 1866 und 1867 von Si Moussa erbaut und erstreckt sich über zwei Hektar mitten in der Medina von Marrakesch und verfügt über 150 Zimmer, darunter einen Haremsabschnitt, der sich direkt neben dem sonnendurchfluteten Ehrenhof befindet. Der Bahia-Palast, der während der Ära des französischen Protektorats den Generalresidenten beherbergte, ist heute ein sehenswertes historisches Museum, das täglich für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich ist und in dem früher Veranstaltungen wie die Biennale von Marrakesch stattfanden.
Die Souks von Marrakesch (überdachte Märkte) bilden das quirlige und verwirrende Unterbewusstsein der Stadt, ein ausgedehntes Straßennetz, das häufig von Sonnenschein durchdrungen ist. Für jeden Souk in Marrakesch gibt es eine spezielle Spezialität, darunter Teppiche, Lederwaren, Gewürze, Metallarbeiten oder Kleidung. Der erste Preis, den der Händler auflistet, ist im Allgemeinen eine große Menge dessen, was er erwartet. Feilschen ist notwendig. Französisch ist einfach, aber Geldgespräche und Händler wissen, dass Englisch immer spricht.
Jemaa el-Fnaa (Arabisch: ساحة جامع الفناء Sāḥat Jāmiʾ al-Fanāʾ, auch Jemaa el-Fna, Djema el-Fna oder Djemaa el-Fnaa) ist ein Platz und Marktplatz in der Medina (Altstadt) von Marrakesch. Es ist nach wie vor der Hauptplatz von Marrakesch, der von Einheimischen und Touristen genutzt wird.
Die Ben-Youssef-Madrasa ist eine islamische Madrasa in Marrakesch, Marokko. Die Madrasa ist nach der benachbarten Ben-Youssef-Moschee benannt und wurde 1564–65 n. Chr. vom Saadier-Sultan Abdallah al-Ghalib in Auftrag gegeben.
Dar El Bacha, oder der "Palast des Paschas", ist eine herrliche historische Stätte in Marrakesch, die 1910 als Residenz von Thami El Glaoui, dem mächtigen Pascha von Marrakesch, erbaut wurde. Der Palast ist bekannt für seine atemberaubende marokkanische Architektur, einschließlich aufwendiger Fliesenarbeiten und geschnitztem Zedernholz, und diente als politische Drehscheibe und Veranstaltungsort für üppige Empfänge. Nach der Restaurierung beherbergt es heute das Museum of Confluences, das Marokkos vielfältiges Kulturerbe durch traditionelle und zeitgenössische Kunst präsentiert. Fab day Esme on the 3 hour Tuk Tuk tour. Picked up from our Riad on time and taken all around the city! 6 great stops with plenty opportunities to take photographs and explore. Really relaxing and enjoyable day and we each received a lovely little gift and a box of pastries. Would highly recommend. Massive thumbs up from my friends and I and thanks again Esme - you were a star!!
This was a really lovely and novel way to navigate the souks and sights particularly in high August heat; it was great for my 3 teenagers who weeeent keen to explore but the Tuk Tuk meant they didn’t have to walk! Booking was easy and we had good communication with the tour operator the night before with a clear pick up and drop off point identified by a photo that all the locals are familiar with! We were kindly given 2 tuk tuks for the 5 of us (2 adults, 19,18 and 14) which we were very grateful for because we would have really struggled squeezed into one. The tour was great; our drivers were fab navigating round the tight streets and crazy traffic of all types! We whizzed through the medina’s and also had a longer stop in one so we could have plenty of shopping time which is what we really wanted to do and it was nice knowing we had our driver close by. We visited the secret garden and then just stopped and viewed the other sights from outside as we weren’t bothered by entering and time would have been tight as we chose to potter the souks. The lovely sweets and water were very welcomed by us too. The drivers were really lovely and happy to be flexible to our tour. Would highly recommend as an alternative tour. We were sent guides to listen to the day before as this is clearly offered as a driver tuk tuk tour rather than a guided tour. But again due to the high intense heat this was perfect for our group. I had considered a walking tour instead with a tour guide but we would definitely have found this tough in August. If you would love to be toured round the sights with an audio guide and can flexibility and are happy to do background research then this is a good option!
Communication was good before the trip and the driver arrived early. We visited lots of sights and were given time to explore Bahia palace, souks and gardens. The treats and water were a nice touch as well as the gifts at the end of the trip! This is a unique experience and a good way to see the sights of Marakech! Would recommend!

The desserts, water and gifts were a nice touch to take back with us. I would recommend this as an interesting way to see Marrakech for first time visitors.
It was quite calm. The driver is very attentive. Drive slowly. And I even got some delicious candy .

Amazing experience and what a way to see Marrakesh. Can’t believe how small some of streets were we went down. Explored the souks and took us to all the major landmarks. Also looked after us with water and waiting for us.

Fabulous experience! The pick up was punctual, super communication from the driver. My friend had walking issues so we booked this for a tour around the Medina. Honestly, it was the perfect way! How our driver managed to get through all the narrow alleys is beyond me. She was the best driver!! Lovely cookies from a local bakery was included. Great value for money. I would do it again for the fun!!! Highly recommended!!!!
