Reiseverlauf

Claudio from Pugliamica was so friendly and prompt as he drove us between Monopoli and Alberobello both ways, which was so helpful for us since we hadn’t rented a car. He told us some facts about what we were passing on the way too! The Alberobello tour itself was excellent, with a really funny and engaging tour guide who grew up in Alberobello and was able to provide not just the architectural history of the trulli but some of the socioeconomic factors over the last 70 or so years in regards to trulli houses becoming so famous after the UNESCO Heritage destination. It was a good length of a tour with some free time after! Definitely pack water and sunscreen/sunglasses/a hat because there is very little shade in Alberobello on a sunny day!
Honestly disappointed by this tour. We spent more time in the modern part of Alberobello than actually walking amongst the trulli. The tour wasn’t long enough it was only a 4-5hr tour. The tour was sold as if we got to see inside them but we never went inside any. We spent ages waiting for our guide when we arrived and stood outside talking about the history rather than walking amongst them all and only got to see a few from the outside. Definitely avoid this tour!
The trulli houses were great to see. The guide gave us good information and showed us the best views. The tour operator was kind enough to pick us up from our B&B and drop us at the airport at a slightly higher expense. Although this trip went well, overall extremely disappointed with Viator since we had 2 last minute cancellations in one week (one for Postojna Cave and one Pompei trip from Rome).
Thoroughly recommend this trip to Alberobello. You won't be disappointed. Prompt 9:40 pick up. Fab guide in Florina who made the tour fun and informative. So glad we booked this tour.

A very interesting three hours with very knowledgeable museum staff. History of trulli and a look at modern trulli are included.

We were picked up in Bari late closer to 10am not 9:30am, driver took long route thru many small towns arrived Trulli 1.5 hr later. We were hooked up with a tour guide who apparently already had a gruop, we followed him for less then 1/2hr then he cut us loss for free time and went on with the gruop. It was now 12 noon and our pick up time to return was 3pm, I instructed guide to call and get pick up at 2pm as there is virtually nothing to do in Alberobello commercialized Disneyland Our pick up was by owner of tour, asked if we enjoyed, told him of our disappointment, he summonded the guide who denied all, started to argue with me, told owner just drive us back to Bari. Noticed he took a shorter way back ? Took an hour ?Told him again believe what you want but the times confirm my claim. Will contact Viator to complain if no satifaction never again will I BOOK WITH THEM !!

The whole experience was wonderful. I especially loved our guide, Samantha. She had a lovely personally was truely excited about sharing her knowledge on the beautiful Alberobella and her knowledge was fabulous. I'd definitely recommend this tour. Our driver Mr. Valore was also fantastic. He was engaging and seemed sincerely interested in us. And, by the way, their English was fantastic. Grazie mille!

Driver Grazia was prompt friendly and courteous. Picked up from our hotel and driven to Alberobello greeted by tour guide Katia also knowledgeable friendly and courteous. We walked away informed and satisfied with the delicious sweets and liquor tasting. Both ladies amazing thank you so much highly recommend!
