Die Base Torres-Wanderung ist eine der beliebtesten geführten Gruppentouren in Puerto Natales und eine perfekte Alternative für Reisende, die nur einen Tag Zeit haben, um Torres del Paine zu besichtigen, aber die unglaubliche Aussicht vom Mirador Base Torres nicht verpassen möchten. Diese Tour wird das ganze Jahr über angeboten. Sogar im Winter werden viele Reisende ermutigt, zum Aussichtspunkt zu wandern (bei Wintertouren werden Steigeisen verwendet, um die Sicherheit der Gruppe von bis zu 15 Personen zu gewährleisten). Neben Transport und Bergausrüstung umfasst die Tour einen professionellen Reiseleiter und einen Assistenten, sodass alle Reisenden begleitet werden, unabhängig von der Geschwindigkeit, mit der Sie gehen.

Schwierigkeit: Mittel - 12.43 mi - 20 km (8 Stunden) - Starthöhe: 295 ft über dem Meeresspiegel (90 m) - Maximale Höhe: 2855 ft über dem Meeresspiegel (870 m) - Die Tour beginnt mit der Abholung an Ihrer Unterkunft. Je nach Standort werden wir Sie zwischen 6:30 und 7:00 Uhr abholen. Nachdem die Gruppe zusammengestellt ist, gibt uns unser Guide Trekkingstöcke und informiert uns über die Tour, insbesondere über die Wanderung zur Base Torres. Danach geht es weiter zum Torres del Paine Nationalpark. In der Wintersaison sind Gruppen klein, mit einem Guide für 4 Reisende. In der Sommersaison können Gruppen bis zu 21 Personen haben, wobei ein Guide für alle 6 Reisenden sich an unterschiedliche Gehgeschwindigkeiten anpassen kann. So werden alle Teilnehmer immer begleitet. Es ist üblich, dass sich kleinere Gruppen von 7–10 Personen entlang der Route bilden, um ein personalisierteres Erlebnis zu bieten.
Nach der zweistündigen Fahrt im Shuttlebus erreichen wir über den Sektor Porteria Amarga den Eingang des Nationalparks. Sobald wir den Park betreten, genießen wir die beeindruckende Aussicht auf Torres del Paine.
An diesem Punkt beginnt die Wanderung zum Sektor Hostería Las Torres. Auf der etwa vierstündigen Reise durchqueren wir das Ascensio-Tal und wandern durch den gemütlichen Lenga-Wald. Unterwegs sehen wir auch den Hügel Almirante Nieto aus verschiedenen Perspektiven. Am Ende dieses Abschnitts erklimmen wir eine Gletschermoräne (felsiger Pfad mit steilem Hang), bis wir unser Ziel, den Aussichtspunkt Base Torres, erreichen.
Bei dieser unglaublichen Aussicht essen wir zu Mittag, machen Fotos und steigen zum kleinen Strand hinab, der vom See gebildet wird. Berühren Sie das Wasser und bestaunen Sie die atemberaubende Aussicht vom Strand. Nach diesem Halt trifft sich die ganze Gruppe und beginnt mit dem Abstieg. Dieser Abschnitt dauert etwa drei Stunden. Der Shuttlebus bringt uns dann zurück nach Puerto Natales. Zwischen 20:00 und 21:00 Uhr kommt der Bus bei unserer Unterkunft an und beendet diesen Tag voller Wanderungen, Aufregung und Erinnerungen am Fuße des Torres del Paine.

This is a unique experience and, without a doubt, the best I have ever experienced. It is important to consider that it is highly conditioned by the climate. The guide was transparent from the outset and offered an appropriate service for this type of expedition, which helps minimize risks.

Great communication with the guides from the moment we booked, through pick‑up, and all the way until we were back at the hotel. The scenery was stunning from beginning to end. We enjoyed sunshine for the first four hours, followed by the classic Patagonian mix of clouds and rain — still absolutely beautiful. This guided tour/trek was a great way to hike Base Torres! Pablo and Sebastian were fantastic guides- knowledgeable and patient. It’s a tough hike, especially the last hour, even as someone who works out and runs regularly. I almost gave up with 30-40 minutes to go, but so glad I finished as the views were amazing. The descent was nearly as tough but well worth the pain!

I'm gonna start by saying that Viator needs to change this to a difficult level of hike. If you have any sort of ankle or knee issues, stay away. The view, the hike, all worth it. And our experience may be very dependent on the tour guide we had. Despite having ample time, the whole experience felt rushed, and there was little regard for the physical fitness level of the people hiking (we were a very small group of 4). Even after arriving to the top in a relatively quick pace, we were rushed down the mountain, not only making it dangerous, and painful, but also not really allowing us to take ok the views or take pictures. Carlos was nice but his music ok the morning was incredibly loud (before 7am) and we just didn't feel like he wanted us to enjoy the experience and it was more about getting it done. We were back at our hotel by 6:30 pm. Which really surprised us since he said we'd be back to the national park parking lot around 7 pm.
