Sobald wir Sie gegen 07:00 Uhr von Ihrem gewählten Standort abgeholt haben, bringen wir Sie zu einer der schönsten Bahnfahrten der Welt in die TranzAlpine. Genießen Sie atemberaubende Alpenblicke von Panoramafenstern oder der Kutsche unter freiem Himmel. Ihr Fortgeschrittener wird Sie an der Arthur's Pass Station treffen, um Ihre Bergtour zu beginnen.
Während Sie die Bahnfahrt genießen, fährt Ihr Fortgeschrittener voraus, um Sie direkt am Bahnsteig am Arthur’s Pass Station zu treffen. Von dort aus fahren wir zum Aussichtspunkt Otira Viaduct, von wo aus wir spektakuläre Aussichten genießen können – darunter die leuchtend roten Rata-Blüten im Sommer. Halten Sie Ausschau nach dem frechen Kea, Neuseelands neugierigem Alpenpapagei! Unsere Bergerkundung geht weiter mit einem Besuch des atemberaubenden Avalanche Creek Wasserfalls und mehreren anderen malerischen Highlights innerhalb des Nationalparks.
Für das Highlight Ihres Nachmittags empfehlen wir Ihnen den Devils Punchbowl Wanderweg. Ein gemütlicher 1-stündiger Rückweg führt Sie durch üppigen Buchenwald zum Fuße eines donnernden 131 Meter hohen Wasserfalls. Die schiere Kraft des Wassers und der Nebel im Gesicht machen dies zu einem unvergesslichen alpinen Erlebnis
Genießen Sie nach Ihrem Spaziergang eine wohlverdiente Auszeit im charmanten Arthur’s Pass Village. Sie haben viel Zeit, um in einem lokalen Café zu Mittag zu essen, im historischen Besucherzentrum zu stöbern oder einfach die ruhige Bergatmosphäre zu genießen, bevor wir unsere Reise fortsetzen
Unsere Rückfahrt nach Christchurch nimmt eine andere Route mit der Straße und bietet Landschaften, die die Zuggleise nicht erreichen. Unser erster Halt ist der ruhige Lake Pearson. Dieser Hochlandsee ist berühmt für seine glasigen, spiegelbildlichen Spiegelungen der umliegenden Berge – ein Traum eines Fotografen und ein perfekter Ort für eine friedliche Nachmittagspause.
Halten Sie in Flock Hill : Entdecken Sie die atemberaubende 'Narnia' Drehort. Dieser Ort wurde in Disneys Der Löwe, die Hexe und der Kleiderschrank als primäres Schlachtfeld gezeigt – eine spektakuläre Kulisse umgeben von der schroffen Schönheit des Craigieburn Valley.
Unser letztes Highlight : Erleben Sie den 'Schatz aus der Ferne' bei Kura Tāwhiti. Für die Ngāi Tahu iwi hat dieses Gebiet den Tōpuni-Status – ein symbolischer Mantel des Schutzes vor seinen heiligen Werten. Während Sie den leicht zugänglichen Weg gehen, suchen Sie nach Spuren von 500 - Jahre alten Holzkohlezeichnungen und erfahren Sie, wie diese Gesteine vor 30 Millionen Jahren entstanden, als Neuseeland noch unter einem flachen Binnenmeer lag.
Wir lassen die Berge hinter uns und reisen durch die weiten Canterbury Plains. Wir machen einen letzten, köstlichen Halt in der ländlichen Stadt Springfield, um den berühmten Riesen-Donut zu sehen – ein Muss für Fotos! We would certainly recommend this tour. It started with us being picked up from our hotel on time and taken to the train station. The train journey lived up to our expectations - sat back, engaged with other tourists & enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Our guide met us as we exited the train at Arthurs Pass & he ensured everyone was looked after for the rest of the tour, providing umbrellas & ponchos to help us keep dry. He was great! Very knowledgeable and managed everything at the right pace.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide, whose name I didn’t get, did a wonderful job taking us around Arthur’s Pass and Castle Hill and providing information on the area. The bus was delayed picking up the group in Arthur’s Pass after the train ride, but the company did a great job with keeping the group updated as to when our guide would arrive. The hike up to the Devil’s Punchbowl Falls was worth it, and the loop at Castle Hill was great as well. I would recommend this tour.

It was a fabulous experience. The train was gorgeous and the views were unbeatable. Plus, the staff was incredibly kind. The driver was great with fun facts and lots of yummy snacks. Anuj was our tour guide and he was absolutely brilliant. Very informative and knowledgeable, made the whole experience very smooth and enjoyable. Always looking out for us and took great care of the whole group with the snacks that helped a lot along the way. This itinerary was great to explore beautiful landmarks as a solo traveller. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this tour. I cant recommend it enough for the solo traveller. The other participants were lovely, the guide was fabulous, and the scenery was mind blowing. The many stops to take photographs and go for good walks were just the right amount.

We had a fantastic day. It was a great way to see the country side as well as explore the forest and see the waterfalls at Arthur's Pass. VJ was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable. We started the day by taking the Alpine Train to Arthur's pass. Then VJ took us to beautiful scenic spot and showed us where filming took place for the Lion the witch and the wardrobe. He also shared NZ snacks with us. It was a wonderful way to spend a day in Christchurch.

I did enjoy our tour from Christchurch via TranzAlpine to Arthurs’ path and back to the city. Our tour guide are accommodating and providing good insights and explanation. He provides guidance or alternative activity for some who cant do a hike. We did a couple of small stops for scenic lookout when we are going back to the City. The tour was not rush and we are able to be back to the city earlier than expected Highly recommended tour!
