Transfagarasan Highway und Balea Lake E-Bike Tour

Wir werden auf einem kleinen Markt aus geringer Höhe mit dem Fahrrad beginnen, von wo aus wir einen herrlichen Blick über den Berg Fagaras und den Balea-Wasserfall haben. Nach wenigen Kilometern erreichen wir die interessanteste Bergstraße, die in den Jahren des Kommunismus in Rumänien gebaut wurde. Die Aussichten während der Reise sind atemberaubend, die Berge, die den Weg umgeben, zeigen auf dem gesamten Weg ihre majestätischen Gipfel. Wir werden auf dem Weg nach oben, viel näher an unseren Augen, den Balea-Wasserfall sehen und nach einer Weile den Gipfel in Höhe 2034 erreichen, wo ein Bauernmarkt und der bekannte Balea-See ausgestellt werden. Nach dem Besuch aller interessanten touristischen Punkte folgt ein Adrenalinabstieg zurück zum Startplatz. Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Transport zum See im Winter nur mit der Seilbahn möglich ist.

Wir radeln entlang der schönsten Landstraße, die in den Karpatenberg zwischen den Berggipfeln eingegraben ist. Wir beginnen mit dem Treten aus einer Höhe von 497 m und erreichen eine Höhe von 2034 m, wo wir den herrlichen Balea-See vor unseren Augen sehen werden.
Der Balea Glacier Lake liegt auf 2034 m Höhe und ist ein erstaunlicher Ort, an dem jeder, der das Fagaras-Gebirge krümmt, den bekannten Transfagarasan Highway erreicht. Auf dem Weg zum Balea-See halten wir auch an, um den Balea-Wasserfall zu sehen.

Der Abholpunkt befindet sich vor dem Hotel Capitol (Parkplatz) in Brasov. Sie können die Adresse Ihrer eigenen Unterkunft in Brasov eingeben und ich werde Sie – wenn möglich – von dort abholen. Ich kann Sie auch morgens vom Bahnhof Fagaras abholen. Bitte teilen Sie uns dies 1-2 Tage vor dem Tourtag mit.

Andrew is a fabulous man to spend the day with. He arranged to collect us from hotel and then drove us from Brasov to the point where you can start the climb. This is not from the very bottom of climb but gives you a 13 km climb. The cars and motorbikes are respectful of cyclists and his bikes are really good. He shares insights into life in Romania during the transfer. Thank you Andrei
Andrei our guide was amazing!! He picked us up at or location and we drove to the mountains. The e-bikes were incredible and well maintained. The e-bikes made the ride wonderful and very doable up the somewhat steep climb. We stopped for hot chocolate, coffee and tea at the peak of the mountain which overlooked the Balea Lake. We proceeded down the Transfagarasan Highway which was incredibly exhilarating. I highly recommend this tour as it is a tour of a lifetime!!
Andrei was an incredible tour guide. Very informative on the country/region. Tour date was on October 8, but due to heavy snowfall Andrei offered to move it to the next day. It was the first heavy snowfall of the year and unusually early, so the road was closed to cars, meaning we had the road to ourselves. We had to walk the last 2-3km with our bikes because the snow was too deep. Andrei offered to stay with the bikes whilst I go up to the lake. However, we both persisted despite the cold and low visibility conditions. A well-deserved meal and hot drink was consumed once at the lake. The downhill trip was much easier and the clouds had started to clear up, offering incredible views! Andrei was also able to drop me off at the bus station on the way back. Many thanks Andrei. An incredible experience and I hope to come back one day.
Last summer I've done Route 66 and now couldn't resist Transfagarasan!! Started off early from Brasov and it was 50 minutes before we joined the drive down Cartisoara to Curtea de Arges. What a drive!! Unfortunately I had a miserable kid in the backseat who got alive only when he came across the Bears on the road - we've counted more than a dozen! I've thoroughly enjoyed the drive - just fabulous. Ignore the whining kids, just go for it, it's once in a lifetime you'll get to drive down the Transfagasaran!!
Andrei was an excellent guide. It was rainy and cold and we sadly didn’t get to see much but it was still an excellent day!

Absolutely breathtaking adventure! Andrei was a very good guide and told is a lot about the country and culture during the drive to the tour. He took pictures from us and gave good advices! I highly recommend this adventure! It‘s totally worth it!
Amazing day trip with a brilliant and informative guide. The equipment was of the highest quality. It was a very memorable trip and great fun on the e bikes. A great, fun and safe way of seeing the incredible Transfagarasan.

That was such a beautiful experience. I can only recommend it. If you are in the area, contact Andrei and he will show you the most beautiful places. Communication beforehand was uncomplicated and quick, Andrei picked me up at the agreed point and had a nice chat on the car ride, showed me and explained lots of things, super pleasant. He speaks great English! I was a little worried that the e-bike tour would be too demanding for me (I'm not unfit but I don't do any other sport) but it was super relaxed driving up there. Andrei always made me feel safe. The view is simply breathtaking and probably so much better than from behind a car window. The descent was also great fun! Thank you! Best day in Romania!
