Treffen mit unserem Guide am vereinbarten Treffpunkt und Transfer zur usbekisch-tadschikischen Grenze. Nach der Ankunft am usbekisch-tadschikischen Grenzübergang müssen Sie die Grenze zu Fuß mit unserem Guide überqueren. Nach Überschreiten der Grenzkontrolle, Treffen mit unserem Fahrer-Partner aus Tadschikistan und Transfer nach Penjikent.
Besuchte die antike Stadt Sarazm, sehen Sie die Sehenswürdigkeiten von Penjikent und essen Sie zu Mittag.
Die Fahrt zu den Sieben Seen dauert den ganzen Tag. Sie besuchen Seen: Der erste ist Nezhigon („Wimper“), Höhe 1640 m., Die zweite ist Soja („Schatten“), Höhe 1740 m., Dritter – Gushor, Höhe 1770 m., Vierter – Nofin, Höhe 1820 m., Fünfter – Khurdak („Baby“), Höhe 1870 m., Sechster – Marguzor („Wiese“), der größte in der gesamten Seenkette, Höhe 2140 m., Siebter – Chasortschashma („Quellen der Tausend“), Höhe 2332 m. Die Straße vom ersten See bis zu den letzten Abschnitten erstreckt sich über 15 Kilometer, es gibt Stopps an jedem der Stauseen, und eine vollständige Erkundung der Sehenswürdigkeiten wird etwa 4-5 Stunden dauern. An diesen Orten haben sich ungewöhnliche Geschichten, Legenden und ursprüngliche Kultur erhalten: In der Nähe wurden primitive Petroglyphen gefunden, und im Mittelalter wurden hier Halbedelsteine abgebaut. Sie können Marguzor mit dem Auto erreichen, aber Sie müssen Khazorchashm zu Fuß erreichen (optional)
Am Abend kehren wir an die Grenze zurück, überqueren sie und fahren zurück nach Samarkand.

The lakes are gorgeous and provided lots of amazing photo opportunities! It's well worth the price to see this area of the world. Our guide, Yusuf, was very friendly and charming. He spoke excellent English and answered all of my questions about the locations and Tajikistan in general. He helped us select delicious foods from the market for a nice picnic and was very accommodating in general. A large part of the drive in Tajikistan is on unpaved roads which could be quite bumpy so be warned if that's too much for you. But our driver was very competent and I felt completely safe with him.

Beautiful places! However, the drivers between the countries are very bad. They drive too fast, they make dangerous overtakes, making the experience bad. In the programming it said there would be a picnic, there wasn't.

Overall a good experience and probably the best value for an organized day tour into Tajikistan from Samarkand. You can stop at as many of the lakes as your group agrees on, the guides are flexible and easy going. At the last lake we had a picnic and the opportunity to swim. There wasn't any hiking and only minimal walking, so expect lots of driving and getting out of the van to take pictures at each lake. I would have preferred more hiking / less driving but the time is pretty limited in a single day and I think it would be challenging to fit into any itinerary. Also keep in mind that no food or water is included - it is best to bring your own / see if your hotel offers a packed breakfast to take along. You won't need to change much money, maximum $5-10 USD. The local market stop is not geared towards tourists, which is great overall, but you won't find magnets etc to purchase.

The Seven Lakes were all quite beautiful, but they are not easy to get to. The road is narrow, gravel, rough, and pretty windy, so be cautious if you are someone prone to carsickness. Also, this was not “8-10 hours;” from pickup to drop-off was 14 hours total, so keep that in mind if you have any hard times in the evening.

A beautiful visit that breaks up the tone of the classic Uzbekistan tour a bit, which is more oriented toward the beautiful madrasas and mausoleums. An exceptional guide who truly made us feel the hospitality and warmth of his people. The only downside was the instructions for crossing the border: providing some guidance before the crossing where one is not guided would be useful.

did the Seven Lakes (Haft Kul) tour in Tajikistan and it exceeded all my expectations. The scenery is out of this world - 7 different colored lakes in the Fann Mountains. > A huge thank you to our guide [ADD NAME HERE]! He was punctual, spoke excellent English, was a very safe driver on the mountain roads, and knew so much about the local Tajik villages and legends of the lakes. He also helped us with the Tajikistan border formalities and made sure we had delicious local food. > Everything was well organized, comfortable car, and enough time at each lake. 10/10 experience. If you are in Samarkand, this tour is a MUST!

This was a great tour all around, but the best part of this experience for me was our fantastic tour guide Dilo! She went above and beyond to make sure our experience was top notch. There’s a lot of driving on this tour, but she utilized this time to teach us all about Tajikistan history and culture. I feel like we got a real look into the life of Tajiks, and can genuinely say I made a new friend in Dilo. Please do keep in mind that if you get car sickness, be sure to bring some medicine with you as the dirt roads are bumpy and you spend a few hours driving on them. Other than that, the experience is a great way to get a taste of Tajikistan without committing a full trip there. 10/10 recommend!
