Neben der reichhaltigen kulturellen Seite und dem leckeren Essen der Stadt haben wir während unserer Reise die Möglichkeit, alle drei großen Kirchen in Bethlehem mit einer Führung zu besuchen. Wir reisen in die Stadt im Distrikt Bethlehem namens Beit Sahour, eine der beiden Städte mit der höchsten christlichen Bevölkerung. Wir werden uns das Leben der Einheimischen genauer ansehen und die erstaunlichen handgefertigten Souvenirs sehen, die sie herstellen, sowie die Hirten Aufstellen. * Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie Ihren Reisepass mitbringen, da dies manchmal erforderlich ist. * Bei dieser Tour warten wir in der Schlange, um die Grotte zu sehen - manchmal kommt es bei dieser Tour zu Verzögerungen. Die Kapelle des Hirtenfeldes. Sie markiert den Ort, an dem die Engel erstmals die Geburt Christi ankündigten. Die Shepherds 'Field Chapel ist ein religiöses Gebäude der katholischen Kirche in der Gegend von Beit Sahur südöstlich von Bethlehem im Westjordanland in Palästina. Die Kapelle markiert den Ort, an dem die Engel zum ersten Mal die Geburt Christi ankündigten.
Die Milchgrottenkirche ist der Ort, an dem die Heilige Familie während des Massakers an den Unschuldigen Zuflucht fand, bevor sie nach Ägypten fliehen konnte. Der Name leitet sich aus der Geschichte ab, dass ein "Tropfen Milch" der Jungfrau Maria auf den Boden der Höhle fiel und seine Farbe in Weiß änderte.
Eine vollständige Führung durch die Geburtskirche. Die Kirche ist eine der ältesten noch existierenden Arbeitskirchen. Die erste Kirche wurde vom römischen Kaiser Konstantin im 4. Jahrhundert n. Chr. Über der Grotte errichtet, in der Maria Jesus zur Welt brachte. Die Kirche befindet sich dort, wo Jesus in Bethlehem geboren wurde.

Der Orden der Heiligen Jungfrau Maria vom Berg Karmel hat keinen einzelnen Gründer, sondern wurde von einer Gruppe von Einsiedlern gegründet, die in der Nähe der „Quelle des Elia“ auf dem Berg Karmel leben und zwei Wurzeln ihrer Spiritualität haben: den Propheten Elia und die Jungfrau Maria. Zu Beginn des 13. Jahrhunderts erhielten die Eremiten eine Lebensregel, die vom Heiligen Albert, dem Patriarchen von Jerusalem, verfasst wurde.

Both of our guides were very knowledgeable and interesting. They explained everything and answered all our questions. George, our guide in Bethlehem, spoke Aramaic and said The Lords Prayer over us in Aramaic. We visited the grotto where Jesus was born as well as all the other locations on our itinerary. We were given food and drink surprises and got to visit the local people. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour. Nothing negative to say about it.

This was a wonderful tour of Bethlehem, milk grotto,Shepards field, associated history, and a great chance to see the surrounding communities. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable locals who were extremely welcoming, kind and gracious. We also appreciated the opportunity to learn more about Palestinian culture.

We enoyed the tour with the family of three being our guides. We felt part of the Palesitinian community. Value for the money was good. Apart from the visits to the grotto, churches, shepherds fields and the fences, we were treated with local delicacies. This was not at a store, so it we did not experience a dressed up sales event but rather an exchange of cultures. Yes, the tour ended at a local souvenir shop of the community, but this was limited to just 20 minutes with no pressure at all. And to our suprise at the end of the tour there wasn't even an opportunity to leave a tip. This was illustrative for the good vibe during the trip.

It was my first time in Bethlehem and I couldn't have asked for a better trip. Our guide Boaz not only was super knowledgable, but his love for this place and its most famous citizen were also so evident and beautiful to witness. We had a pleasant half day tour to Bethlehem in a comfortable small air conditioned bus. A local Christian guide joined us in Bethlehem, and he was very kind and knowledgeable. The tour was focused on the Christian sites, but we also have visited some Banksy graffiti, the Walled off Hotel, and an olive wood carving workshop. The price of the tour was significantly lower than some other options, but I have doubts that they are any better. Unfortunately we did not have time to stand in the one-hour long queue to visit the grotto under the Church of Nativity, but we were tired anyway because of the almost 40 degrees outside.

This tour was one of the absolut highlights of our stay in Israel. The guide, Elias, is super friendly and knows so much about what he shows you. The tour is extremely well organized, you get to see everything as planned (and more!). The gifts received were much appreciated. Communicating with the team before, during and after this tour was always a pleasure, you really feel that Elias & the rest of the team do this not for the money, but because they genuinely love this land and showing it to others.
