excellent experience. the pick-up service was very efficient and punctual. as for the visit to the shelter, it was very interesting to learn in detail about the activities that this splendid foundation carries out. a special mention of merit also goes to our guide, who told us the stories of all the animals present in great detail. highly recommended.
Soon we were convinced of this trip to the WFFT and that it was a great opportunity to let our children know more about animals that are lucky because they ended up in the Rescue Center. The beginning of the trip with an opening film in which we see and hear Edwin Piek tell, is immediately clear through (heavy) footage why this center is needed. Great good work is done by all the staff and volunteers who sacrifice their holidays to do good work here. Our guide was great, an inspiring speaker who knows all the animals by name and tells the story fantastically. An unmissable visit if you sleep in one of the Lodges around the center.
Fantastic experience learned a lot about the missuse of animals and how the foundation helps these animals to gain or experience there freedom again
A fantastic day all went according to plan, pickup at the hotel, very interesting tour where you get very close to the animals and their stories, good lunch, we were also allowed to give the elephants watermelon in the snabelen exciting, nice trip home to the hotel with a good driver
Absolutely loved our day here. What they are doing is so important. Animals must be protected from bad humans. Especially loved the Gibbons and the tigers. A couple of suggestions to make the experience a little better. A proper greeting on arrival, we were unsure of what was happening and what /where we needed to be. The little gift shop had some lovely bits and we were keen to buy to support the cause, unfortunately the staff member on duty did not seem interested in helping us. Also encourage people to donate online, which we did, but totally off our own initiative.
Such a fun, educational experience. I thoroughly enjoyed this day trip, and highly recommend it for anyone who is an animal lover. I also really enjoyed seeing the sun bears (first time ever seeing one in person). Pro tip: bring bug spray/fan as there are some flies here and there
Great day My redemption trip for having visited Tiger Temple 20 years agp All animals need our protection
This is an excellent and ethical alternative to a typical zoo. The guide was very enthusiastic, and it was apparent that everyone that worked at the Wildlife Rescue love the animals. At times it was very emotional and downright sad to listen to the stories of past lives of the animals that live there. The work they do here is incredibly important, and people should know about it.
Had an amazing experience, seeing all the wildlife. The guide was very knowledgeable and knew every name of every animal which I found amazing cause they all look same to me. I would highly recommend anyone in Thailand to take this tour.. They even provide door-to-door service and pick you up at your hotel or house.
We had a hotel pick up but were there 1 hour early The day was very interesting The morning we walked round looking at animals and hearing their stories .Lunch was a very nice buffet .After lunch the 2nd half of the day was exellent .we drove around and got out and walked some of the times .The otters who cried for attention .The rescued tigers The Gibons were in very big natural enclosures Chimpansee.Urangatan .and elephants.we fed the elephants at the end .But if you want interaction with elephants this isnt the place .The guides were very nice and good but we just felt that the afternoon was better than the morning
