I booked my tour three weeks in advance everything was confirmed and a day before my Frida Khalo tour was canceled. Very disappointed! Just because no one in my group had a ticket to Frida khalo. They should have assigned me with a different group. Also I purchased the package 3 hour tour in Xochimilco and two hour in Coyoacan and we just spent 1 hour in Xochimilco. Tour guide said complain to TripAdvisor not ME! Very disappointed!!
Very poorly organized. We booked weeks in advance, didn't get us Tix for La Casa Azul, changed pick up times, left us hanging for 2.5 hours, wanted to skip Coyoacán tour altogether and go straight to Xochimilco so I had to insist we see Coyoacán (wth?) and we spent 1/2 hour before getting back on van to Xochimilco. I would book elsewhere. Very disappointing.
We took a morning tour of Xochimilco, which was absolutely lovely. Arlet was a sweet guide, she did a great job answering all of our questions and working with me on things like pickup time and location. I really appreciated her knowledge and flexibility. Our tour lasted from about 8:30am to 3:30pm, for a total of 7 hours. We did spend a bit of time in traffic, but it was definitely worth it. Crowds were small when we were at Xochimilco, when we got there only a few of the trajineros were out. By the time we left it was busier though. I would say if you're looking for a party atmosphere, you probably want to do a later afternoon tour but if you're interested in the history and the experience then morning is better.
The driver never showed up on time, and there was no way to communicate with the company as they didn't respond to texts until too late. After waiting over 30 minutes past the scheduled pick-up, we finally got a call that we were being picked up at 10a instead of 830a. Also, we were supposed to go to the Blue House Frida Kahlo museum but were told they couldn't get tickets and took us to the Red House Case Kahlo other museum. We were very disappointed in the lack of communication, misleading plan for tickets to the popular Frida Kahlo museum with an inadequate substitution last minute and driver showing up 90 minutes late. We wouldn't recommend the tour for these reasons. Once we had a private driver/guide, he was friendly, informative and helpful, but the company overall provided a bad service.
Pickup was late with no communication, leaving us waiting without any information about timing or next steps. Tour logistics lacked clarity, and we were often unsure where to go or what to expect. Additionally, we were charged 400 MXN for food that appeared to be worth closer to 100 MXN; we do not drink alcohol, which reduced the value further. At the end of the tour, the guide was rude and insisted we get off at a different location than the pickup point, instructing us to speak with a salesman without any prior explanation. This resulted in additional Uber travel.
Excellent service! They shared some super valuable information and made us feel confident and safe at all times. An excellent choice to get to know the city and the most emblematic places.
Pato and Jesus your best guides and you will enjoy every part of the trip. The tour is conducted in the selected language and their recommendations are safe and makes the experience even better than planned
Disappointing experience — the tour was misleading, as it didn’t match the description. Some activities were missing or rushed, and it didn’t feel worth the price. First, the day before the tour, I was contacted by someone via Whatsapp who provided the incorrect name of the driver and guide. We got picked up around 7:55am, but drove around for over an hour picking up the rest of the group. Our first stop was at a silver shop (not on the itinerary) and it was more like a tourist trap to lure you into buying their silver products. What a waste of an hour there. Then we headed to Coayacan, stopped in front of Frida Kahlo's house, and then to the park where the church was. The itinerary states we were supposed to stop at the Coayocan market, which is where I wanted to go, but that didn't happen. Also, we were told not to eat too much because there was food at Xochimilco. Next we stopped at a university (also not on the itinerary) and wasted some time there. Finally, we got to Xochimilco, after 1:30pm. Starving, we got on the trajinera only to find out we had to pay for food (description states snacks are included). There were no snacks provided. Also, the food we ordered was not good at all. The ride was short, we didn't stop at a chinampa, and I was just so disappointed that I was ready to head home. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, to say the least. All I wanted was to spend more time in Coayacan and Xochimilco; I didn't pay to go to a silver store or go tour a university. I'd avoid this tour if all you want is to go to Coayacan and Xochimilco.
Great day trip with our great tour leader Brandon. He picked us up on time at our hotel then first stop was a great one and a half our boat ride in Xochimilko. A must to see this Unesco world heritage site. The second stop was Coyoacan where we walked about this charming neighborhood and had a taco lunch (pay one your own). The final stop was a brief walk to the Frida Kahlo house where we learned all about her life at Casa Azul. Total time (pick up and drop off) was 8 hours. Do this tour!!!
Excellent option with transportation from the city center, as getting to Xochimilco is not easy
