Die Tour beginnt mit der Abholung vom Hotel und der anschließenden Fahrt von 1 Stunde und 20 Minuten zu unserem ersten Besuchsort. Während der Fahrt werden wir schneebedeckte Berge, Lagunen, Mais- und Kartoffelfelder bewundern. Der erste Ort Moray (landwirtschaftliches Labor), wo wir Andenterrassen in kreisförmiger Form bewundern können, die in Form einer Schüssel in die Tiefen der Erde gehauen wurden, dienten dazu, Produkte an unterschiedliche Klimazonen anzupassen. Nach dem Besuch in Moray fahren wir nach „Salineras“ oder „Salz von Maras“. Diese Stadt war früher als Salzproduktionszentrum bekannt und stammt vermutlich aus der Zeit vor den Inkas. Wir können mehr als 3500 Salzbetten finden, die strategisch neben dem Berg angelegt und durch Wasserkanäle gefüllt sind. Zurück in der Stadt Cusco passieren wir das malerische Dorf „Chinchero“, die Wiege des Regenbogens. Diese Stadt zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die Anden-Textiltechnik noch erhalten ist.

Wir finden die archäologische Stätte von Moray, ein landwirtschaftliches Forschungszentrum in Inca, wo die Produkte mit einem Terrassensystem an verschiedene Klimazonen angepasst werden.
Wir werden die Stadt Maras besuchen, die auch als Stadt der Portale bekannt ist. Sie befindet sich in der Provinz Urubamba bei 3300 m.a.s.l. Das Hotel liegt 52 km von der Stadt Cusco entfernt. Es beherbergt die wichtigsten Minen der Inka-Zeit und wurde von Anfang an bis heute ausgebeutet.

Christian was a wonderful tour guide. He shared detailed historical facts and current events about Moray and Msras. He was patient and answered every question we had. Our driver, Wilson, even stopped at a pasture for us so we could take photos of the alpacas and llamas (that was not part of the itinerary). I would highly recommend booking this tour with Christian and Wilson!
