Ein typisch elegantes Haus der Kaiserzeit ist das Haus der Poeta tragico, in dem sich das berühmte Bodenmosaik „Cave Canem“ befindet.
In Vicolo dei Vetti steht eines der schönsten und luxuriösesten Häuser Pompejis: das Haus der Vettii, das seinen Namen von seinen Besitzern Aulo Vettio Restituto und Aulo Vettio Conviva hat.
Wahrscheinlich einer der meistbesuchten Orte für Touristen ist dieses zweistöckige Gebäude für seine Prostituierten und ihr Geschäft. Es gab andere Bordelle in der Stadt, aber diese befanden sich normalerweise über einer Taverne oder in privaten Unterkünften, die auch nicht zu luxuriös waren. Der Platz bestand aus 5 Zimmern im Erdgeschoss und 5 im oberen. Jedes Zimmer hatte ein Betonbett mit vielleicht, wenn Sie Glück hatten, einer Matratze oder einer Matte.
Das Forum in Pompeji war Fußgängern vorbehalten und Karren waren nicht erlaubt. Nur öffentliche Gebäude überblickten diesen Bereich, der etwa 142 Meter lang und 38 Meter breit war. Das heutige Forum ist frei von Statuen und seinen kunstvollen Fußböden und Marmorarbeiten. Es wird angenommen, dass das Gebiet nach dem Ausbruch ausgegraben wurde und diese dann in anderen Arbeiten wiederverwendet wurden.
Die Thermalbäder oder Spas, wie auch immer Sie sie nennen möchten, befanden sich außerhalb der Stadtmauern. In seinem nahe gelegenen Hafen (in der Tat mehrere große Felsen, in denen Boote festmachen konnten) wurden diese Bäder wahrscheinlich von Reisenden und nicht von den Leuten von Pompeji benutzt.
Schön, das Haus der Fauna gibt einer Bronzestatue eines Fauns im Impluvium seinen Namen. Es ist eines der bekanntesten in ganz Pompeji.
Das prestigeträchtige Haus (2.000 m²) hat seinen Namen von einem Affresco des Dichters Menandro. In dieser Unterkunft fanden wir 118 Objekte in Silber. Offensichtlich sind Geschirr von großem Interesse die Affrescoes, die den Trojanischen Krieg darstellen: der Tod von Laocoonte: Cassandra und Ulysses
Die Römer liebten ihre Spiele oder Kämpfe, wie Sie es wünschen, Gladiatoren gegen Gladiatoren und solche wie Pompei hatten auch eine Arena für diese barbarischen Sportarten. Das Amphitheater kann bis zu 20.000 Menschen auf 3 verschiedenen Ebenen aufnehmen. Was wir in den heißen Sommermonaten in Pompeji herausgefunden haben, waren die Zuschauer durch eine Art dunklen Leinenbezug geschützt. Angrenzend an die Arena konnte man die große Turnhalle sehen, in der die Jugendlichen trainieren würden.
Die Anbetung des Gottes Apollo kam kurz vor dem Ausbruch von 79 v. Chr. An. Dieser Kult hatte viele seiner Tempio di apollofollowers verloren, weil Jupiter ein stärkerer Gott war. Es gibt eine Bronzestatue des Gottes mit Pfeil und Bogen sowie eine Statue der Göttin Diana.

Amazing perspective on a unique time in history. Our fantastic guide really helped bring to life Roman life during the period surrounding a great tragedy. The focus is very much on the city and people themselves, as opposed to the volcano. Bring lots of water if you go during the summer—hot but worth it!
The tour is "ok", but just be aware that the TripAdvisor ad was misleading. For example, it says in the title "Tour in Pompeii with a Real Archeologist". This is not true. The "guide" was a young woman who basically shows you around the sites, but she was definitely not an Archeologist. Also the ad gave you the impression (I think it even said in writing) that they tour you through specific sites, one of them being House of Vetti. In reality, the guide just pointed towards the House of Vetti. On the positive side, there is value here (hence the 3 stars and not 1) because the ticket price is included and the 'guide' does show you around this enormous park. In my opinion, you are better off with someone like this versus just buying a ticket and guessing where to go (not recommended). And for those that want a real Archeologist, hire one. You will pay a more for that specific service.
I enjoyed the tour and Paulo was fantastic. He was very informative and knowledgable; however, we probably only saw half of the sites the tour advertised as the itinerary for the tour. Not sure why we didn’t see all of what was advertised?
Your tickets included is for the day, after the tour you can explore by yourself as long as you like.
Pompeii is amazing. The preservation is incredible. Make sure to where good walking shoes and plan to extend your stay to see more key sites. I was assured that our tour included the House of Vettii but the guide said the wait was 20 mins. We went back and walked right in. So slightly disappointed that I was told one thing but not provided what was promised.
Absolutely incredible tour. We were given the wrong meet-up location, but contacted the group when no one showed and they not only got us there but the tour guide waited for us to start! Teresa with Askos Tours (listed as Pompei Trip & Transfer in the app) was amazing, so knowledgeable, entertaining, and went the extra mile to ensure we got to see as much as possible and stayed late to answer our questions after the group tour was done. Having a real archeologist lead was fantastic, because she taught along the way and helped us learn how to date the things we were seeing, fit things into the context historically and culturally, and presented popular and alternate opinions on how to interpret the digs. Absolutely amazing, highly recommended!

both the guide of Naples and Pompeii were very compelling. the girls who accompanied us made us live in a compelling way, step by step the situations that the population was experiencing, with engaging anecdotes. definitely to contact, if we were to return to visit something else
