We had an incredible tour of the St. Lawrence Market and the Distillery District with Paris. I'm from Toronto and I took a friend who was visiting the city. I learned things about the city that I didn't know about. There is a jail underneath the market? Toronto has a Banksy mural? Paris provided us with great food and interesting history of the area. Well worth the time and money.

Great intro to Toronto and some Toronto classic food items. Yes poutine but also some others and quite tasty with good history. I wouldn't say the tour was all that secret as it went to main tourist sites. However the amount of walking was very reasonable. Plenty of food but not way too much. Our guide, Yulia, was excellent. Great info and navigated getting seats in Kensington market on a Saturday as well as people who came 1.5h late with grace.

From the start worst experience ever. Alex was our guide and has no clue about food or Toronto. Meet up instructions clearly tell you to find the guide by looking for an orange umbrella. Alex did not bring an umbrella at all. He stood behind the group of 4 of us and never identified himself, we approached him since he been standing there for a while. The other people in the group were late but really they too were looking for an orange umbrella. Once the tour started Alex could not answer any questions about Toronto or food. He did tell us that food was not a thing he enjoyed and nor did he think anyone would care about Toronto history since he didn’t. We were rushed through the 3 food stops and asked to eat and walk at the same time to hurry to the next stop since it never occurred to him to order ahead. All in all worst tour ever.
