I highly recommend top of the rock specially the VIP, it was pretty expensive but totally worth it specially because I visited this summer and it was PACKED. The VIP pass gives you priority and exclusivity

Avoid this place at any costs! You will notice at the waiting line downstairs already how bad this place is organized. If you think it can’t get worse, wait till you are upstairs! There are more people at the observation floor than allowed. It’s crowded and big chaos. My pregnant wife started to feel not well upstairs and we reached out to the staff because we want to leave asap! The staff was rude, no help or assistance. They even said: I don’t care wife! I repeated myself that we want to leave now because it was starting to be an medical situation. The staff said that if we not go back in de crowded directly, we will be removed by security. He said again he don’t care pregnant woman! We managed to reach the elevators and got outside. At the elevators the employee said very quiet: ‘everyone can receive an refund because we crossed the max amount of people’ but downstairs they just selling more and more tickets and sending people upstairs. Update go city Response of the attraction ‘refund cannot be processed only for one specific attraction on the passes’. Even no apologize, investigation or promise to do it better next time. Just go to other attractions, much better organized and safe.

We were turned away because the rainy weather provided zero visibility at the observation deck. Viator does not allow me to get a refund for this booking.

Decent enough views from the top, however i paid extra for a few photos on the famous beam & got nothing i paid for. It doesn't state that you if you have open toed shoes/sandles or flip flops you need to wear black shoe coverings. You also aren't allowed to go barefoot....So i asked the two guys operating the beam if the shoe coverings were going to be in the photo. Both replied No. That was a bare faced LIE. When i came to look at the photos you could clearly see my feet in the silly shoe covers. I explained the situation to the women at the photo desk who wasn't interested. I then asked to see a manager. A supervisor was sent over, who once i had explained the situation was apologetic. He said he needed to wait for his manager to arrive. When she arrived i explained the situation again but i could already tell she didn't care. All she said was well you took the ride so that's what you paid for - the photos are extra. She also refused to believe her staff had lied to me....clearly this is some kind of tactic to make the customer pay more. I dread to think how many people they con like this. Baring the Supervisor the rest of the staff were also bad. When the person on the Beam payment section was asked how much the photos are they said they didn't know....haha of course you know how much the photos are!! Shocking customer service & i'd advise anyone to skip this & go to summit one instead you'll have a much better time & experiance.

We had a reservation for 9.20am but could enter earlier as it was already 100’ outside. Staff was well coordinated

It would have been ok but it started torrentially raining and wind so they were sending us to the roof where we nearly got blown over and people were screaming and all trying to pile back down we ended up getting let into an emergency door and then back to 67th where more people had arrived there was no where to stand or move started feeling like a crush and claustrophobic and we had to get back down as nowhere safe to wait ( child with us with autism and found it too much) - sadly we spend a lot of money to have to leave right away as no safe place to wait and more and more people Were crowded into one place , very dangerous

I had initial booked to go at sunset about 7.40pm in the evening. There was a huge queue to get in and when I eventually made it inside, there was only 1 staff memeber scanning tickets for hundreds of people. This made the queue go very slowly. When the theatre doors opened for the film part, there was a huge crush of people moving in at once, there was no orderly way of getting people in the room. Finally after 40 minutes finally made it to the observation deck, only to find that it was raining heavily. While no one can control the weather, I do think more could have been done to manage the crowds. It was absolutely packed inside with very little room to move. I couldn't get near any of the windows and it was very hot with no air conditioning. More and more people kept arriving and it got really uncomfortable as there was so much pushing and being bumped into by other people. For the amount of visitors there, there didnt seem to be quite enough staff on hand to help and it wasn't easy to identify who was staff and who wasn't. Overall a very poor experience.

It was so fun and we got to see so many things from up high! I loved seeing the Empire State Building from up high🙂
