A brilliant experience from start to finish. Our guide Nak and driver Mr Thnou couldn’t do enough for us. We were picked up promptly from hotel and taken to Tonle Sap where we boarded an amazing private boat where we could laze on the top deck on sun beds whilst sailing passed the floating villages and watching the sunset over Tonle Sap Lake. Nak was there to answer any questions and explain how the villagers lived. We were provided with amazing food and drinks, beer or soft drinks and were left to enjoy the sunset in peace. A wonderful trip. Thank you to Nak and Mr Thnou. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
Nak and Pearom are the funnest team! It's obvious they love what they do and love teaching about Cambodia. They were prompt, courteous, and very informative. They even dropped us off at an alternative spot from where we had originally intended. Everythi g was according to our timeline and convenience. We enjoyed our time with them very much.
What a wonderful tour with Nak, our guide! He is an incredibly knowledgeable guide and is also full of energy and positivity ! He took great care of us and We all enjoyed a beautiful tour of Tonle Sap lake at sunset with him. I would definitely recommend him for any tour when you are visiting Siem Reap!!
What an experience we had with Nak! I am beyond impressed with the scope of his knowledge - from Cambodian history in the 10th century, to the 19th-20th century colonial period, up until the late 20th century and modern era - it seemed like there was nothing that Nak didn’t know. Not only Cambodian history, Nak had such an amazing understanding and perspective on the floating villages. I learned far more than I thought I would on the tour. The food and drinks were a great bonus too. I can’t imagine visiting Siem Reap without doing this tour - it was such a cool experience. Big shout out to Nak and all the crew on the boat!
An amazing trip and wonderful evening. Highly recommend and so glad to have enjoyed the company of our guide and driver, Nak and Phearom who made the evening extra special.
The perfect night to end our week in Siem Reap - we were promptly picked up at our hotel by our guide Nak and driver, Phearom, and driven to the dock. There were some small shops and well maintained restrooms and from their we boarded the lovely boat. My friend and I were visiting and wanted to enjoy the sunset without a group and had selected the private tour. I’m so glad we did! The team had snacks and drinks waiting, we visited a floating restaurant and saw the crocodiles, frogs, turtles, and fish being farmed. From their we settled out in the water and awaited the sunset laying on the cushioned roof and chatting with our lovely guides. I am so glad Nak and Phearom were with us, they were gracious hosts and shared insights into the Cambodian culture, ecosystem and their personal histories. We had so much fun with them and couldn’t imagine a better sunset evening.
Cruise was wonderful and our guide was even better! Nak was very welcoming and friendly and told us many stories about life in Cambodia. A peek into the culture of the country and the outstanding service made this tour so memorable.
The views were as advertised and the service was even better. Our guide Nak spoke great English, answered all of our questions and told stories about Cambodian culture.
Nak Chum, the driver, and the boat operator not only provided 5+ star service and comfort, but were very knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about the lake community. The outstanding savory and sweet treats were tasty and filling. Cold water, varieties of beer, and chilled wet-cloth towels quenched my thirst and the heat. The boat is beautiful and has two levels - perfect for families and friends. The stop at the restaurant/gift shop/crocodile farm provided an opportunity to engage and support the residents and this large community. Nak is kind and engaging and has keen insight about the fisherman’s life. The lake breeze and views were amazing on SE Asia’s largest lake. After the tour, Nan and the driver kindly dropped me off and made sure I safely entered the Phare Cambodia Circus venue. Do not hesitate to request this tour and Nak Chum…you will not be disappointed!
Our guide, Nak, took us first of all through the local market and explaining how the market was part of daily life and explaining some of the fruit, vegetables, meat and fish that we were seeing. It was really interesting and educational. We then took the boat down the river and then the lake to see the floating village and the vastness of the lake. Seeing the village life was amazing and again really interesting to see how adaptable and versatile the villagers were with having to relocate as the waters increased/decreased. We then had a very relaxing canoe trip through the mangroves which was lovely. All in all it was a great half day trip. Made even more enjoyable with Nak's knowledge and history of the local villagers. Definitely would recommend.
