Bevor es ein arabischer Markt war und bis vor wenigen Jahren noch ein Straßenmarkt am Dienstag "populär" genannt wurde, gab Enrique IV jeden Dienstag einen Markt für Toledo, eine Tradition, die von weit her kommt und derzeit im Parque stattfindet de la Vega. Zocodover kommt aus dem Arabischen und bedeutet Markt der Tiere, und dieser Platz wurde auch benutzt, um die Verurteilten öffentlich auszuführen.
Die Kirche Santo Tomé oder Santo Tomás Apóstol befindet sich im historischen Zentrum der spanischen Stadt Toledo und wurde nach der Wiedereroberung dieser Stadt von König Alfonso VI die Stätte einer alten Moschee aus dem 11. Jahrhundert.2 Diese Moschee wurde zusammen mit anderen aus der Stadt ohne größere Änderungen als christliche Kirchen genutzt, da bei der Einnahme der Stadt keine Gebäude zerstört wurden. Zu Beginn des 14. Santa María la Blanca ist ein Tempel in der spanischen Stadt Toledo. Das 1180 als Synagoge erbaute Gebäude, das 211 Jahre lang als solche fungierte, wurde nach dem Pogrom von 1391 enteignet und in eine Kirche umgewandelt. Derzeit gehört es der katholischen Kirche, aber es gibt keinen Kult darin . Had a great trip to Toledo guided by Arantxa. Hotel pick up was right on time (arrived a few minutes early), the van was comfortable with a friendly driver. Arantxa showed us the highlights of Toledo and was very helpful to my partner who needs a cane for balance, even with the uneven cobblestone streets.
